I've read the poor reviews and I haven't seen anything like what they've described, but I've never had a life-threatening emergency either (emergencies should go to the emergency vet center in Salem on Center Street >> those vets are trained for critical care). My cats have been going to WVAH for several months and I've found the staff accommodating and caring. My former vet was Keizer Veterinary and they were great, but I'm on a fixed income and can't afford their prices. That's not the case with WVAH -- their prices are more than reasonable and the service excellent (despite heavy walk-in traffic the day I went). If your animal requires a basic exam, vaccinations, flea medication, deworming, etc., WVAH is the place to go. It's reasonable, affordable, and the quality of care is beyond reproach. For everyday care, I won't take my cats anywhere else.

This is my sisters cat Hopper. She had manx syndrome. My sister took very good care of her and even made custom diaper holders for her. On saturday she wondered off and into a neighbors house. The neighbor took her to Willamette Valley Animal Hospital where they pretty much immediately euthanized her. They didn't wait a few days or send her off to the humane society, they just killed her. This is sickening and infuriating that they could be so heartless. So sad to think about what her final moments were like as she was put to sleep. I just hope it was fast and she didn't suffer. Thank you willamette valley animal hospital.

We took our French Mastiff in for digestive problems and went through medications and testing. He had been losing weight etc. They said our dog had a chew toy in its stomach. They said they could take it out that day if we could find the large sum of money to do so. We managed to get the money . There was no chew toy and he was sewn up poorly. They took scrapings of what they thought was unusual in his stomach lining and intestines. That was a couple of weeks ago and our dog is barely alive. The "tests" came up with no solid diagnosis. We have to open his mouth and put soft food in and he will soon be put down. The surgery was a bad idea. I would only get shots here, if anything. I used to like this Vet clinic, Dr Stoner is still good from what I hear.

We have has several dogs and been to many vets in many different state WVAH is one of the best. We don't care if it is cluttered or the flooring doesn't match because we don't have the money to pay for the esthetics of a clinic. Dr. Morris, Dr. Stoner and Dr. Mcgruder are AWESOME. We drive 40 miles round trip to take our pets to wvah. The staff at wvah is friendly enough as they are always packed. They are about 80% less expensive that other vets, they take anyone at anytime if they are open, they don't charge more for emergencies, they will coordinate care with other providers such as OSU and they will go out of their way to make sure your pet is taken care of. Could they do things differently and listen to everyone's critiques? Yes, but why bother clearly they have many people who appreciate all they do and wouldn't go anywhere else. I can't recommend them highly enough my wife and I tell everyone one we meet who has animals about them. Thank you WVAH keep up the good work!

Will never give these guys my business again. The person answering the phone "Jessica" is rude, and they completely left my poor little guy hanging before the holidays. I will take him elsewhere from now on.
