I know when reading ratings the first thing I do is look at the negative ones and base my judgment on that. First, I have been going here for 10 years. I must say this is the BEST animal clinic with the LOWEST prices(just call and compare) HANDS DOWN CHEAPEST. Just so you understand the Vet is most likely retired and 76 years old but for the love of animals and his impeccable knowledge of animals, he continues to serve instead of self gratifying/vegetating in front of a television. There is no "specials" or "fees" here. You get what you need to get, in a small amount of time, and you know what he says is truth because he has been doing it for decades. Most places make you pay for the first visit, fees here, pay up bub. NOT HERE. You go in, he looks your animal over for basically free and you pay LOW costs for shots, getting your animal fixed, or chipped. It is a 1 man shop in an old fashioned wood house (converted into a vet office). When you walk out of the door you will be rating my add with a thumbs up and thanking me because these other positives do not do this place justice. I don't usually post adds, but I feel this place needs a rating that gives you perspective on how AMAZING this place really is. I have no problem telling you whether a place is a crap hole or whether the vet is crazy. This place is a GEM. Sadly when he stops, I don't know what I am going to do because there is NO OTHER place like this. WARNING: The lady (receptionist) is older and at times sounds grumpy but she is kind and who cares you are saving money. HANDS DOWN BEST PLACE. BEST PRICE. MOST KNOWLEDGABLE.
Being new in town, I called and made an appointment to meet the local Veterinarian and was very leased at the friendly welcoming of the clean facilities, friendly staff and excellent service provided Dr.
Dr. Erekson is an excellent, experienced veterinarian. His expertise and knowledge were evident, and I felt lucky to have found him. Highly recommended for a no frills, experienced veterinarian. He is a breath of fresh air.
Our formerly-feral cat died of anesthesia poisoning after getting his teeth cleaned here. Had we known that feral and unhealthy cats are less equipped to handle the liver-trauma of anesthesia, we would have bypassed the cleaning altogether. I don't have anything negative to say against this office except that I wished they had recommended AGAINST teeth cleaning in our cat's case. Before you make a teeth cleaning decision for your cat, consider their health, and if this somewhat preventative procedure is really necessary for their well-being. :(
I went there today and was impressed with both Dr. and staff. No nonsense was the name of the game. The cost was extremely reasonable and the service was stellar. I will be going back.
