The staff were wonderful. They came out to my car to help get my dog inside quickly. My dog received excellent and compassionate care there and so did I.

Took my cat in for an obstruction. The doctors and staff seemed very kind. Surgery went fine. Four grand to remove an obstruction (a cashew)? Was expecting maybe 1500. Much butt-hurt. Taking advantage of someone in time of need is sickening.

These guys are great! I've never had such awesome service at a vets office. I moved pretty far from them but I will continue to make the extra trip just to get the awesome care I've been getting. They save me money and are pleasant to have a conversation with. My animals actually like going to this vet... I've never had that with them.

From my first visit with a "kitty emergency" many years ago (at least 6), through the passing away of the first 2 cats and their assistance with that, right through today, this is the best veterinary clinic I've dealt with. I would highly recommend them for regular and emergency needs.

The entire team at the SE Portland branch took such great care of Vega on Sunday (04/06/2014) that I have no idea how to even say thank you. From the amazing people at the front desk (I didn't even catch names in my completely stressed out state, and I am so sorry!) to Dr. Valori Johnson, we never worried for a moment about our little fur-kid. The professionalism, the courtesy, and the complete care could not have been higher than it was on Sunday afternoon when we rushed in with myself and Vega, completely covered in blood from a puncture wound on his front left leg. After they took Vega back to examine, and repair like the bionic dog (they can - and did - rebuild him), we brought in Vega's sister Viola. She too was covered in blood, and the crew took the time to help us clean her up. If you are in need of emergency vet care in the SE area, or Mt. Hood like we were, I highly recommend the team at VCA SE Portland Animal Hospital.
