Dr. Dickey provided excellent advice over the phone, after hours, and did not charge me a single penny! One of our rabbits had stopped eating and her intestinal activity had ceased. This is a very serious and often fatal condition for a rabbit. The dietary advice worked like a charm and she is back to normal and doing great. I would have to disagree strongly with the couple of reviews I have seen that say he is only interested in $. I say thumbs up and thank you very much to Dr. Dickey!!!

I took my elderly dog to him when he was extremely sick and had blood in his urine. I knew with his existing condition I would not have him a great deal longer and I gave a complete comprehensive history to this man. He x-rayed him (not necessary), performed a number of unnecessary tests and insisted I was wrong when I told him NOT to administer a medication to my dog because he could not tolerate it. When I went back two days later to get a different medication the first words out of the womans mouth was "we do not give refunds". She had no idea why I was even there but that reaction suggests other people have demanded refunds. Over 800.00 later, my dog was worse. Thank God Dr. Mike came back from vacation... HORRIBLE treatment and I will not hesitate to tell anyone who cares. Dr. Mike is "the man", he & his wife & staff are professional, friendly and caring. Dr. Mike goes the extra mile for you while Dr. Dickey goes for your wallet. I do not doubt he would take the gold out of your teeth if he could..

I had an exceptionally poor experience on 3 different occasions with this vet and his staff. He performed a simple neuter on my dog and sent him home with a scrotal hemorrhage. The tech commented how "wimpy" he was, when all the while he was in extreme pain. As a result I paid for followup appointments and meds for this complication that wasn't recognized before he was discharged. This happened nearly 7 years ago and it still angers me how my poor little guy was treated and how he suffered., This vet is geared toward making money and not toward caring for our beloved pets. Many others in my area agree, if you want a wonderful, caring vet, go to "Dr Mike" down the street.

I have had very positive care and excellent advice for my ponies from Dr. Dickey. I appreciate his expertise and quiet way with animals and how quickly they trust him.
