Sandy Animal Clinic was awesome! They took care of my sick dog that had Giardia. The receptionists were so nice and very knowledgeable. Dr Spencer answered all my questions and I could tell she really cared about my dogs health. The technicians and receptionists made sure that I knew what to do when I got home and to make sure she got better quickly. I was very impressed with how well they worked as a team and took care of us with no hickups. The clinic was really nice and very clean. I would recommending this clinic to anyone who asks.

I have to agree with the other complainers about the sandy animal clinic. They are out to rip you off for every nickel they can get out of you.I am retired from the U S Navy and also a formr certified Emergency Medical Tech.. there is no difference sticking a needle in dog or a human being. recently, my dog contacted HGE, (hemmorhagic gastoenteritis) this is characterized by bloody diahrea sometimes referred to as rasberry diahrrea as it looks like mushy raberries. This situation can drain a dog, especially a sall dog of a large amount of it's bodily fluids and die in 24 hours. The doctor at the sandy animal clinic, a young woman, wanted to do all sorts of blood tests and in all was going to charge me ovefr $500. I objected and told them to just treat my dog as normal for diahrrea which is the infusion of a bag of water under the skin. This was done at a cost of $182.00.and I explained to the vet assistant that I was a former EMT and would like to be present when they give the bag of water to my dog. She agreed. I stood right there and actually assisted her with the infusion of the water . The next morning, I called the same place and asked if I could buy a bag of water and take it home and give it to my dog myself, the receptionist said sure, it would cost $16.. I said I'd be right down. when I arrived at the clinic, I was told the doctor wanted to see me so I went into an examining room where she urged me to do all he blood tests I refused to have her do the day before and also, that before she would sell me a bag of water, I would have to bring my dog in and have her show me how to do it. Even though I just assisted her assistant doing it the day before.. It l became so clear to me that this doctor was not interested in the well being of my dog, she was only interested in draining my pocket book for as much money as she could get out of me. I devised another way to administer sterile saline solution into my dog and within another 24 hours, he was back to his regular old self and no longer had diarrhea. I would really give a lot of thought before taking your pet to the sandy animal clinic. Gerald Miller, Chief, U S Navy (ret.)

I have been bringing my pets to Sandy Animal Clinic for several years. The doctors are very knowledgable and are very compassionate. My dog had salmon poisoning and had to be hospitalized for 2 days as he was very sick. I was very pleased when the cost for his stay was less money than they had estimated. All of my veterinary costs at Sandy animal clinic have been very reasonable. I should know I have 6 pets and have been to other vets before moving here. I would recommend all of the doctors at Sandy animal Clinic to everyone.

I've known Dr. Betz since she first started practicing in Oregon almost 15 yrs ago. Took my dogs and cat to her clinic and she has always been knowledgable, professional and practical about their care. She has handled everything from vaccinations to major surgery and I've always been very happy with her work. Owning a pet is not always cheap and sometimes they require care that costs money, but that's just part of being a responsible pet owner. Sandy Animal Clinic has been great in helping me give my pets excellent care at a reasonable cost. Thank you!

The Sandy Animal Clinic is just out to get your money and not to help your pet! I was out visiting family in Estacada the other day where my pup broke his leg. His regular vet was to far away to take my dog to so I took him to the Sandy Animal Clinic instead. They took a few xrays, explained that they needed to get more xrays and that they needed to sedate my pup to get them. 400 dollars worth of sedation and xrays later they told me he was going to need a 2000 dollar surgery to pin his leg together. You could clearly see in the first xray all of break and it looked pretty clean and simple but they insisted on the unnecessary and expensive sedation and more xrays. I took my dog to his regular vet the fallowing day and they told me that surgery was completely unnecessary and would only cause more problems, they also explained that all of the break was visible in the first xray and the additional ones were unneeded. I feel that the staff at the Sandy Animal Clinic were pushing a pricing and unnecessary surgery to me because I am a young girl who clearly was desperate to ease the pain of my dog. I find it horrifying that a vet could care more about money the safety and health of my animal. Taking your pet to the Sandy Animal Clinic is a total rip off!
