We were traveling for the Thanksgiving Holiday and our little 5 lb. 13 year old Chihuahua jumped off the couch and couldn't walk. Dr. Jessica Voellm saw us for the Emergency and SHE IS AWESOME!! The exam revealed a torn ligament. We did just as instructed and she is doing better everyday. We would recommend Dr. Jessica to everyone!

It had been many years since I last visited BFAH (back when I lived in Ashland). We took our 9 yr. old cat in this weekend for a UTI problem because our normal vet no longer offers weekend service. The staff was able to get us in at a moment's notice on a Saturday. We found them to be attentive, informative and very helpful. The techs and Dr. Joe had a great demeanor, with both us and the patient. We had to leave our cat with them while the ran tests; they called us promptly when results were in and said we could come pick her up. When we got there, Dr. Joe took the time to sit down with me and explained everything, including the need to put her on RX food. We was very patient and answered all of my questions pertaining to the food brand, living in a multi-cat household, and a myriad of assorted inquiries. He put me to ease regarding my cat's future and health. We have seen Dr. Laura in the past at another vet office and have found her to also be knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. We really like this animal hospital- staff and vets- and we will be back.

Excellent, caring VET ignore the negative comments

This vet is AMAZING. I recently moved to the area, and they have been helping me from day one. They have been there for emergencies, helped me through the transition of bringing my service dog to the rainbow bridge, and today with my other dog who had been traumatized by another vet. When I picked him up he was so calm and comfortable with them. You can tell they really care about the animals. Also, I've never seen anything described in these other reviews. Every time they have given me an estimate to sign before starting treatment, the place has been extremely clean, and when I brought my girl in, they picked up on it being cancer and gave me realistic options. They did not try to push me into unnecessary treatment, and had it not been for the vets keen eye, she could have gone home with a misdiagnosis based on the symptoms very easily.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!!!!!I wish I had looked at the review from 08 before I brought my cat there. My cat had a foxtail in his eye and I brought him in, they quoted me $45 dollars on the phone. I then explained that the $45 was hard for me to swing but my cat needed to be looked at. After they took care of him they charged me $150 with out telling me as they went along. If I would have known we could have got the foxtail out our self. When I asked about this after the fact they said “oh you could have asked for an estimate” I said “Uhh, I did and I told you I had very little money” I got nothing but a ok sorry about that!
