Jim Thomas has really poor people skills and shouldn't be depended on to collect debts. It's like dealing with a spoiled 12-year old who thinks he has a right to borrow the car; he says I owe a business money, and it's pure fantasy! As I tried to explain to Jim how this so-called debt had no basis in fact, he kept trying to interrupt me, but when I continued to explain, he hung up. How does this guy make a living doing this? Doesn't the act of debt collection begin with something like, "I have a document that says you owe money"? He jumps right to "pay up" without stating why. I hope he sues me so I can counter sue, win, and get him out of my life.

Tom, from Anderson & Associates, called looking to speak with management in an effort to gain our business. When I explained that the owners were not available he said, "Fine, then I won't be calling to you for your services either!" and then he hung up before I could take a message. If this is any reflection of how Anderson and Associates does business I don't think we would be working with them anyway. I thought this review might be helpful to others. This representative was very immature and unprofessional.*I also looked into their Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating and they have nothing but complaints on this company.

I have not yet paid the bill that is overdue and so they are trying to get it. I get that, they are a collection agency and owe it. Do I agree with the charges, not really but I do not have the manpower or know how to not pay it. I have had bad luck by not having any money due to unemployment and the bill is only increasing because the person I owe is increasing the bill with interest monthly. The company tried taking it out of our account but since there was no money in there, nothing was taken out. Bottom line, they are just doing their job. I thought for collectors they were friendly, calm, and workable. I just do not have the cash to pay but I owe it so must make arrangements. If someone working there has been unkind, I would def speak to the owner..he is who I have dealt with and he's very nice, he may want to know your experience so he can have the opportunity to change it or improve their working processes. This agency filed a judgment against me in Oregon stating that they served me at an address I never lived at, and swearing to the court that they had made a bona fide effort to collect the debt, The debt is my ex-wife's and, the original creditor states that I don't owe the debt. This agency never contacted me regarding this debt and attempted to garnish my checking account with their illegal judgment even though I live out of state. They have deceived the State of Oregon court system, are completely unwilling to set aside their illegal judgment they have against me and should not be trusted.
