I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewer who pleaded with you to go elsewhere for your vet care. Here's my story: I purchased a HalfPricePortland deal for an exam for our cat. She's current on her shots and needed a kitty physical, and she also likely has a UTI. We had thought that the irregular peeing was coming from a stray that had adopted us and just discovered that it's our female cat, so I wanted to get her in fairly quickly and get her out of her discomfort. But despite the fact that their system was fully capable of using the confirmation number on the email that I received, MPVH would not see her and honor the certificate confirmation number to "zero the bill" from their system. The only reason I know that this is possible is because my sister has trained clinics on the very system they use! They said that they would need to see her for "follow-up care" and "likely at least a few visits" to make sure that it wasn't behavioral and to run a panel of blood work. We've had her for seven years! I know my cat and know how she responds and this is totally out of her norm. Please, find a vet who cares about treating animals and not one that just wants to find a new customer to suck from.

I've reviewed this place a couple times and it keeps getting erased. Dr. Schultz misdiagnosed my cat, and as a result she now has kidney failure. He charged me $1,200 to extract teeth, then I paid another $800 elsewhere to remove the rest of them, which were fewer than what he removed. He was petrified of my cat. He ruined her quality of life and caused so much damage to her kidneys. Now I'm facing euthanasia, or $380/month to keep her alive. A serious mistake, and all because he was too scared of my cat to investigate further. She's never hurt anyone, I sometimes wonder if she knows she has claws.

I'M PRETTY SURE ALL THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE WRITTEN BY THE STAFF HERE, THEY ALL SOUND FAKE. Terrible experience. Went there for about 1.5 years and never liked it; I wish I would have gone somewhere else a long time ago! The vets never listened to a thing you say, they just come up with a plan without any of your input and charge ridiculous prices. I took my dog there and they estimated OVER $600 for his shots, exam, unnecessary labs, and treatment for an eat infection but that didn't even include the medicine they charged $150 for. When I went somewhere else, I got the same services for $188. (One example is the ear cleaning which they charged $60 for and the new vet charged $18 and did a much better job.) They also kept taking my dog in the back, even for his exam, so I never knew what they were going to do. Thank god I asked for an estimate before they got back there, because I couldn't have afforded it. Also, they claimed that they examined his mouth but the new vet told me about a severely broken tooth. Never going back; they didn't even transfer his most recent medical records right. I would like to try to get my money back for a bottle of ear cleaning solution that I found online for $14.99 that they charged $54 for. I know they have to mark things up to make a profit but that's just insane. My new vet did his entire thorough exam right in front of me so I knew what he was finding and spent time asking questions about my dog's health. Don't get ripped off here, and don't let them take your pet in the back until you know what they're going to do!

My cat just had a heart attack and died the other day and I rushed him in with no appointment minutes after his heart attack. He had no heartbeat when i brought him in so I knew that it was a very small chance of survival but the people here responded very quickly and handled the situation amazingly. They were very sweet and helpful after they realized that they couldn't do anything more for him. When I get another pet I will definitely try to bring them here.
