Dr. Siegert and the staff at Bethel Park Animal Clinic go out of their ways to provide attentive, nurturing care to my pets. We brought our very sick feline in for treatment and her needs were met with a fantastic knowledge base, compassion, and understanding. My rather old cat is suffering from some form of renal dysfunction and Dr. Siegert and staff have suggested diagnostics and treatments that may extend her lifespan with more healthy and enjoyable months or years. Compared to other vets, the prices here are extremely reasonable and come with a higher degree of compassion and understanding than I've found at any other vet in Pittsburgh. This is the 8th vet I've tried, including the big name and fancy clinics. Dr. Siegert called to check up on my cat after seeing her; this vert provides attention and really cares about your pet. For those wanting more details, our 16 yr old cat stopped eating and using the litterbox consistently. She was also hiding and not showing her typical affectionate personality. We called on the weekend and the staff gave us the first appointment on Monday morning. They conducted blood-based laboratory panels in house and sent out for the panels they cannot conduct (it is normal to need to send certain panels out for more complicated analyses). Then to determine the cause of her behavior Dr. Siegert recommended an ultrasound; these are pricey anywhere, but the mobile technician option made it convenient for to get the cat tested. Following the ultrasound, they pushed subcutaneous fluids to get the much needed urine sample for analysis. Finally, they sent the urine out for analysis. In the interim, my cat was put on a thorough and effective treatment plan. One week later, she's right as rain and presents as a healthy cat. She may have a long road to full recovery ahead, but her prognosis looks optimistic. Even if my pet hadn't survived this illness, I would still highly recommend Dr. Siegert and the Bethel Park Animal Clinic.
Took my dog here b/c he had worms. Even took stool sample WITH worms in it. They send the sample out, don't even look at it there. Treated him for what I described. The dog still has worms. When I called to complain she said the stool showed NO EGGS!! So apparently the eggs matter and not the live worms that are there.....but I could always come back in and he could be treated again......as well as paying all over again.
