Dr. Royster is very kind and professional. He seems to have a magic touch with animals. My dog can be a little skittish but he handles her beautifully. Dr. Royster is very responsive to our calls and provides detailed reports after each visit. He is very reasonably priced and provides excellent service. His staff is top notch, friendly and courteous. They are very sweet to my dog. I would highly recommend Dr. Royster to anyone looking for a veterinarian who truly cares about the pet and the owner.
Excellent Vet. I don't think this place is out to make money, Dr. Royster genuinely cares about your pets. I brought my cat in because I thought he had a simple hairball and was throwing up and losing weight. The vet assumed it was a much more grave situation and wanted certain tests performed. It would be easy to assume he was trying to make money, but in the end he was right. My cat had pancreatic cancer. All the tests he ordered were the proper ones needed to come to this diagnosis, and nothing was in anyway excessive. He is very knowledgeable and you should trust his judgment. He was also very prompt in returning my phone calls when I had a question and even gives you follow up calls just to check on how things are going. I highly recommend him. Also, his staff is very nice and courteous.
One of my cats is very, very skittish and aggressive with strangers. All other vets have had trouble just handling her. Dr. R. is magic. He talked to her, pet her, and she was putty in his hands. I swear, she seemed to enjoy his attentions. Now I have two little feral kittens. I can't wait to see him work his magic on them.
We've been taking our dogs to HAH for nearly 4 years, and have had only good experiences. We've found their prices to be reasonable, their facilities clean, and, most importantly, their staff excellent. Dr. Royster is great with both of our dogs (1 lab rescue and 1 lab), as are the technicians. The other vet (I can't remember his name) was particularly good with our rescue dog, who tends to be extremely skittish at the vet (we have to drug her beforehand, and even then she tries to hide under the chairs) - he was patient and very gentle with her, even though she was being hard to manage.
