I have been very happy with the care for my dogs. Our dogs had some pretty unique health challenges and they were able to help keep them healthy. The doctors always spend as much time as I need to answer any questions we have. Exams are thorough. The front office staff is always friendly and scheduling an appointment is easy. This is a well run clinic and I will continue to go here and recommend them.
They are horrible. The owners are so money hungry and all they care about it what they can stick you for. I took my dog in for a bladder infection, her first, they took a sample and gave me antibiotics. I was told that the sample would only be used if necessary and that I would not be charged an additional fee, I specifically inquired about this. Three days later I got a call from one of the senior vets, who had NEVER seen my dog, who told me that they had to test the sample they took. When I questioned why he said "So we know what antibiotic to give her." I informed him she was already on an antibiotic and seemed fine. He sounded confused and they said something about it being a broad spectrum and they should be sure she doesn't need a more specific one. I questioned why I paid for a drug that may not be helping, but seemed to be doing fine, and he just stammered. Remembering what the visiting vet and the tech had told me about no additional charge, I said go ahead. At no time did the vet on the phone tell me about additional cost. Then a week later I got a bill for more than the original visit, $125! When I called to complain I was told I would not be charged if I did not come back. NO PROBLEM! WHAT A RIP OFF!
Absolutely love this vet. Have been coming here for years, first with 7 ferrets and now with 2 dogs and a cat. Dr Edling is the most knowledgeable ferret vet in a 100 mile radius, we used to drive from DE just to see her. Recently she helped diagnose my GSD with EPI, a rare but deadly disease that 2 other dog vets (in DE) completely missed. Prices are surprisingly low for this area and they don't stick you for things like a quick nail clipping when you're getting vaccines, etc. Staff is always cheerful and helpful and the building, exam rooms and waiting room are clean. Have already sent multiple friends to them with similar results. Highly recommended!
As the other reviews have indicated, This vet is SO ridiculously overpriced and focused on $$$ rather than animal care. I've taken two pets of mine here over the years only to walk away with a crazy bill - and no real answers or diagnosis. My best friend just took her rescued cat here and they charged her $389 for only a first visit and one blood test - no diagnosis for her weight loss issues - and they didn't even do any of her required shots or anything that a normal vet requires for initial treatment. She had to spend additional $ on another vet visit just to get some real insights. If you're anywhere near Gulph Mills PA go to Dr Greenspan - he's amazing and focused on care & not obsessed with revenue like the craptastically greedy Horsham Vet.
