We thank God that there is such a place in the world as Hope Veterinary Specialists. We are devastated by the circumstances that compelled us to seek the care our little loved one needs. We received the intangibles that characterize the ideal environment that would be required to soothe our hearts and souls, that cannot be rehearsed or staged. The sincerity of the staff, the dignity that is implicitly and explicitly afforded all who enter, the measures they are prepared to take, indeed the very name of this wonderful place, are well-established and abundantly evident. If the angels whisper into your ear and guide you here, heed them.

In as far as one can like a veterinary hospital, this is one I would recommend to anyone. My dog has been hospitalized twice and each time received excellent care. I was permitted to visit him and see exactly where he was being treated. That made me very comfortable. The facility is very clean and well-staffed. I respected and admired Dr. Davison, the cardiologist. She is a pleasure to talk to and easy to listen to. I did not want to give 5 stars because the facility is VERY expensive but aside from that, they deserve it. I just wish the chairs in the waiting room were more comfortable.

Our dog has been a patient with Hope and Dr. Shanley (a dermatologist) since July of this year. While our general vet was baffled by the symptoms Luna was exhibiting, Dr. Shanley diagnosed her quickly and got her on a treatment plan that has improved her condition immensely. Dr. Shanley is personable, funny, compassionate, and has top level expertise in his specialty. The dermatology nurses are also top notch and are masters of communication. They field our calls and emails promptly when we have questions and they email test results and instructions to keep us in the know. We are extremely pleased with the services at Hope Veterinary Specialists, and more importantly, Luna feels at home and at ease there. The services there are not inexpensive, but you truly do get what you pay for at Hope.

Our 3 year old boxer has a rare condition and our primary vet referred us to Dr. Shanley - dermatologist. My husband and I were extremely impressed with every aspect of the visit. Reception was easy and everyone was compassionate. Dr. Shanley was wonderful and took as much time as we needed. We never felt rushed and I had a lot of questions. We were given a prescription that is very expensive and Dr. Shanley and his assistant were able to give an alternative through a mail order pbarmacy. The pharmacy called us later in the day to work out the details. We will absolutely recommend Hope to anyone that may need them.

We have taken our pets to Dr. Shanley for many years. He is the best. I have not used the hospital for an emergency only because we live very far away. I feel very confident in saying they are probably as good as the apt section.
