A quack who killed my dog - now I know that dogs with Lyme's Disease need regular kidney testing, but it's his job to know that before my dog is dying. He said it wasnt necessary, and that nothing can be done for kidney failure even if it's caught early - total BS. Other area vets agree. This guy is good for nothing but shots, have your pets cared for elsewhere. It may give you the years I was robbed of.

Dr. Prier is totally great! We've been seeing him for years, and he's always been amazing! I don't know what the review below me is talking about. He's always ALWAYS available, whether it's just a day after a loss in his family or in the middle of the night. He's so knowledgable, and he's more than willing to spend a lot of time explaining to you anything at all you want to know. Sometimes he tells you about things you really didn't need to know about! He always has plenty of ideas about what might be wrong with your animal companion, and he tries to find the best option for you to fix it. It's true that he has missed one thing over the many many years that we've seen him - my cat had round worm one time, and he didn't test for it, so we only found out about it when my cat vommed up a round worm. Obviously, Dr. Prier is human. The receptionist/nurse Noel is the most amazing person ever, and she's most often working. She's so sweet and kind to all the animals. So overall, I think Dr. Hyduke is good, but Dr. Prier is better.

We have taken 3 dogs and 2 cats over 10 years to Sugartown. Dr. Prier is always great with the animals and their owners. He always takes time to answer questions and provide information. If pet becomes seriously ill, he will try and help both you and the animal manage the situation, although sometimes the truth is difficult to take. He does put the pet's comfort and well being ahead of excessive invasive procedures. However, he will refer you to a specialist if this is the route you want to pursue or you would like a second opinion. (We did this twice with very sick dogs - but unfortunately, the diagnosis was the same as Dr. Prier's.) The rest of the staff is wonderful and very caring. I highly recommend this practice.
