Making the decision to euthanize a beloved family pet is never easy. Having to make that decision when my normal vet was closed was even more difficult. I called RAETC early on a Sunday morning and made sure they could accommodate us. The staff on duty were sensitive to our situation and handled the necessary tasks professionally and with compassion. I really appreciated that they brought the financial paperwork into the exam room so we didn't have to stand in the waiting room while under emotional duress. Each step of the process was reviewed beforehand and we were offered all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. This was a terribly difficult morning for us but the staff did everything they could to ease our pain. Receiving a sympathy card a few days later was a very nice gesture. My rating is 5 stars not because we loved their service, but rather because we needed their service and they reacted professionally and compassionately.

I had to take my cat in one night, he was howling and unable to walk and had diarrhea. The lady at the desk was very nice, but the vet was not. He came into the exam room, poked my cat in his side and proclaimed he must have eaten something bad. He then offered to inject him with something-he didn't say what-that MIGHT help him feel better. That was it. The vet made me feel as though it was a big inconvenience for him to examine my pet. I paid $85.00 for my cat to be poked. I will only take my animal there if there are no other options. very dissatisfied. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is the very nice ladies at the desk.
