PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WELLNESS PROGRAMS CAN BE CANCELLED. INSIST ON AN ACCOUNTING OF ANY MONIES NOT REFUNDED. THEY CAN DEDUCT AND BOY WILL THEY AMOUNTS USED UNDER THE WELLNESS PLAN ON THEIR OVER INFLATED PRICE LIST. FOR EXAMPLE 400% MARK-UP OVER WHAT I PAID AT THE PHARMACY FOR SAME ITEMS. CHARGING FOR MEDICAL WASTE DISPOSAL EVEN THOUGH I TOOK THE ITEM HOME TO ADMINISTER. THEY SAY THEY CAN'T REMOVE THE CHARGE FROM THEIR COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM. BULL-SHIT ! ALSO REMEMBER THAT IF YOU PAY MONTHLY FOR THE WELLNESS PLAN THEY WILL RENEW IT AT THE END OF 12 MONTHS WITHOUT YOUR AUTHORIZATION. IF YOU PAY IN ADVANCE THEY CAN'T DO THIS. I SUGGEST ANYONE GOING TO BANFIELD USE A CARE CREDIT CARD WHICH IS FOR HUMAN AND PET DOCTORS AS AT LEAST YOU CAN DISPUTE CHARGES AS WITH ANY CREDIT CARD. BANFIELD TALKS ABOUT A CHARITY PROGRAM THEY ALSO HAVE BUT DON'T ASK ABOUT IT AS NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT IT. IF YOUR PET IS TRULY SICK GO TO AMVETS WHERE AT LEAST THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND HAVE THE FACILITY TO HANDLE ANYTHING.

I really liked this place. I made an emergency appointment for my cat because I suspected a UTI. They definitely informed me of all the costs before performing ANY procedures and were very helpful in guiding me in what procedures were necessary vs. which would be more for my peace of mind. I left spending a lot less (around $100 with the urine test) than I would have just walking in the door at the official emergency vet around the corner. I thought all the staff was very sweet and my cat was treated well. I also ended up signing up for the wellness plan since it would cover the cost of my entire treatment and with it he gets free visits, vaccines, and a teeth cleaning.

They care ALOT about your pet, fit us in no problems, reasonable prices, explained everything thoroughly and every efficient.

We have used Banfield Monroeville for a number of years for our elderly golden retriever. We also subscribe to their "Wellness" plan and have been very happy with both the quality of treatment and the performance of the wellness plan. With our previous dog, there was NEVER a visit to the vet that did not cost less than $100. With the Wellness plan, routine visits are covered (including dental cleanings!) and many procedures and medications are at a significant discount. The staff there is very caring and compassionate and we're left with the feeling that our beloved dog is special. Additionally, the staff there while being very knowledgeable, is not afraid to admit when a situation is in need of a referral. For example: about 2.5 years ago our boy had several suspicious lumps that they removed. One of them turned out to be cancerous and the lead vet told us that while she did the best she could to remove the tumor, she willingly recommended that we see a surgical specialist for further surgery. I find it commendable that a professional is secure enough in their profession to make a referral when appropriate. Our boy, while he is currently doing well, is almost 13. He has been a patient at Banfield Monroeville for most of his life- I think we started taking him there when he was about 2 and have never had any issue with the care he's received. We whole-hardheartedly recommend Banfield Monroeville!

I've used Banfield when I had to have 2 dogs put to sleep in the last 2 years. Very sympathetic staff!
