This was my former cat's vet and he did OK here. No worries from him, but with my last visit, I am not going back. My one lcat didn't like the vet or the assistant.... to the point where he was growling and bringing out his claws. I told them I would hold him so that he would be more comfortable and they just refused. To which, they wanted me to make another appointment and asked if they should charge me in advance for the bloodwork that my cat wouldn't let them do. They claimed that it was because of all of the animals around him, but that's definitely not true. Needless to say, I'm not making another appointment and I'm looking for a new vet. My cat got home and he was definitely happier once I got to hold him and once we were in the car. He seems unscathed by this, but I learned this lesson with a previous cat.... if the cat doesn't like or trust the vet, then it's not the vet for him. If the vet tries to charge you in advance for services and they always try to sell something to you, then it's not for you. It's a shame because my Remmy really liked going here when he was alive but when getting him treated, I knew that if he growled at someone that he hated them..... oh, and the assistant laughing at me because I was a post-op didn't make me want to give them more money either. Very unprofessional. Oh, and I don't want to have my cats in a carrier because they like when I hold them and feel more comfortable that way... STOP trying to force me to have one.... every visit I go through that..... Let's see if my cat's next vet keeps their opinions to themselves on that.
Be very careful! The veterinarians are very nice and easy to talk with, but you will be guilted into tests with the "you are a bad mommy if you don't do this" philosophy behind them. We have been to this hospital three times for our poodle for the same problem each time. OVER $650 LATER WE STILL DON'T HAVE A DIAGNOSIS!!!! Make sure you ask how much tests will costs before you agree to anything! We got to the check out counter and were presented with a $400+ bill, which we could not pay or afford! We offered to pay half and half the next week, but we were told we had to sign a promissory note!!! We were sent to a collection agency because we could not pay our bill within one month's time!! This is not a touchy-feely type of veterinarian's office!! It is a business with profits as its bottom line! I would expect this from a weekend/holiday type of emergent care facility; I do not expect this from a veterinarian's office!! By the way, we googled our dog's symptoms and came up with a diagnosis and a home treatment in thirty minutes! So much for the $650+!!
