The staff at paws are very helpful! They give you all the information you need to know, and are very affordable! I just had my dog spayed here, and would definitely recommend their low cost services to anyone!
I've been taking my kittens here for checkups and immunizations. The people there have always been kind and very friendly, and have been extremely helpful to me as a first-time pet owner. I'm so grateful that they're around, otherwise I couldn't afford to give my pets the care that they deserve. I'm even going to start doing volunteer work for them, just so I can pay back what they've done for me in some way.
Tried to schedule an appointment for my car which was adopted from paws, told that they didn't provide vet care for my cat... Here is the email they sent me. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having some problems with ... Unfortunately we do not offer post adoption medical services at the spay and neuter clinic. You should have received a health exam certificate in your adoption packet to help you get in contact with a local veterinarian. We also have a list of local vets on our website as well as a behavior helpline.
Very disappointing facility! Took one stray female in to get spayed- it went ok. Had requested checking the ears as they were full of ear-mites- they forgot to do that. Luckily I was able to take care of that with the help of a vet-technician acquaintance. Made an appointment to get her and 2 others vaccinated- and upon arrival was told that they can't keep the appointment- as the vet has changed her hours there! The attitude:no phone call- no e-mail- just let 'em show up. It took a bit of co-ordination to get 2 people and 3 cats to the facility during the week- time off from work for us- and stress for 2 of the cats who hate the car. They were very blase about it. They charge $20 per animal to have an appointment- and then can't be bothered to check the schedule and alert the people that they have a change in hours! I wouldn't go there again- the SPCA can at least keep their appointments! The SPCA in Media is a bit of a drive- but after this experience- it looks pretty good.
