My first visit was with my calm cat that has sensitive ears. I told the vet he has sensitive ears. What did the vet do, go straight for the ears. He got so upset she had to muzzle him, call in extra help to hold him down, etc and finally I said enough. Both he and I were fully traumatized. However, she diagnosed what has probably been causing his sensitive ears all these years so I thought maybe it was worth it. My second visit with my high strung cat went well. Then I called to get the prescription food for my calm cat. It took two voicemails and me calling back to finally get it arranged. I was told by two of the people I talked to that it would be done by a certain time. I get to the Vet two hours after and it's not ready. Now, I need to get a refill, I don't know how, and I can't get through. I've been on hold for over an hour waiting for the pharmacy to answer. I called the front desk but they won't tell me how to get a refill. She told me to leave a message on the pharmacy line and they will get back to me. I'm wondering who will get back to me since they have such an inordinately large call volume that I was on hold for over an hour. ** Update: I gave up and left a voice message. The good news is they called me back in less than 45 minutes. The not so good news, the pharmacy phone system wasn't working right for at least the hour I was trying to call and they didn't notice. When I talked to the front desk I asked if the pharmacy was busy or I got lost in the phone system. She sounded surprised I was on hold for so long but also said "they're on the fourth floor and I'm on the first. I can't tell if they're busy." Penn Vet may generally provide good care, but if you want to do more over the phone than make an appointment I hope you have more free time and patience with less than helpful customer service than I do.
We had an awful experience - my dog went in to get a polyp removed from her colon. A few days later they sent her home. She was in a lot of pain and can no longer walk. However, since we paid our $6,000 vet bill my dog was of no longer interest to them. They never followed up with me to find out how she was and every time we attempted to get hold of the surgeons they were unavailable. My opinion - they should be ashamed of themselves.
The people who work there are really nice, and know all of the regular's names. The coffee is great, and the scones and muffins are amazing. Try the bread pudding - I've had both strawberry and banana chocolate chip and both are delicious! I get coffee there at least 4 times a week.
If you want gourmet pizza, go for a restaraunt you still cant pronounce after those 3 years of high school french class. if you want greasy average tasting pizza thats ridiculously fast, order here. I've tasted better, but it was decent (its REALLY hard to mess up a pizza). To sum it up, the pizza is fine. The delivery is fast. Its really cheap for pizza standards. And if your in college, nothing else should even matter.
When placing an order through campus food, this restaurant did not indicate a delivery area. I waited over 1 hour for my food to arrive after having already paid for it online with my debit card. Finally, I called the restaurant only to be told that they would not deliver the food to me because I was outside of the delivery zone. Notice: this is a delivery zone that is apparently only known to the restaurant employees because they do not choose to publish this information on the restaurant information page that is provided by their campus food account. Thankfully, I was able to receive great customer service directly from campus food. Campus food contacted the restaurant and provided a refund for me so that my debit card purchase was canceled. Also, in addition to poor customer service, college pizza also tries to push blame onto the customer. The rude employee told the campus food representative that she had contacted me "a while ago" about my order not being delivered. The truth is that no one bothered to call me . I had to call them after 1 hour of waiting for my delivery and I spoke to this employee less than 5 minutes before speaking with the campus food representative. I cannot tell you if this place has good food because I have not had an opportunity to try it. The prices are cheap which is a plus. It would be good for a college kid on a budget. Just be prepared to deal with poor customer service if you ever have an issue with them, but who knows? Maybe this is just my luck. Either way, all I can do is provide my personal experience with this restaurant. They have certainly lost my potential patronage after tonight. There are far too many other good pizza places in this city than to deal with mediocrity from this place.
