This place has been absolutely wonderful. Everyone I have talked to or met with has been incredibly kind, informative and thorough. I have two cats, one of which has asthma and possibly IBD, and throughout the process of diagnosing and treating him, the staff at this hospital has repeatedly exceeded my expectations. The vets are willing to speak me in detail on the phone and in person to answer all my questions and explain everything. One of the staff members also has a cat with asthma and when she heard our cat wasn't initially receptive to the inhaler, she even offered to come to my house to assist with us using the inhaler on our cat. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone.

I just moved out of the area and I am sad to leave ANVH. The staff was always thorough and caring with my two cats when we would come in for checkups and emergencies. My one cat had a urinary blockage that just wouldn't clear up. We were in and out of the office multiple times in one week and they were always quick to make sure they could fit us in. The staff was always warm and inviting when we arrived and showed great concern for his health. They also helped to make sure that we weren't over spending on medications by calling into a local giant eagle for me where the cost would be cheaper. A year later my other cat had lost a decent amount of weight since the last check up, which I think was caused by stress because we were away unexpectedly for a week. After a blood test we noticed that she had high calcium. They talked us through the process and we ran a few more tests. It turned out to be idiopathic hypercalcemia. The first option was to put her on life long medicine but I asked if we could try a diet change. They helped us pick out a new food and since then she has put the weight back on and her numbers have dropped back into an appropriate range. I would strongly recommend Allegheny North Veterinary Hospital to anyone I know.
