Dr. Crowson at Allegheny Vet performed acl repairs(tta surgery) on both of my dogs over the past few years. Both are doing very well. I live on the other side of Pittsburgh but still take my dogs to Allegheny Vet for care. Dr. Crowson and his entire staff(which have all been there since our first day as patients) give our dogs outstanding care, speedy service and are all genuinely nice, caring people. I highly recommend Allegheny Vet.

I drove in from Syracuse, NY. My 105lb 2.5 year old male Rottweiler had a torn ACL. After researching Dr. Crowson I decided to have the TTA procedure done in Pittsburgh. Everyone was nice, Crowson was very informative about the procedure, and the whole process was great. The price was also awesome and I strongly recommend seeing Dr. Crowson if you're dog has torn their ACL.

It's a nice and clean place. Receptionist and staff overall are cordial, and have good bedside manners. Dr. Nicki Crawson, while a nice person and seem to appear as a friendly vet, she's in a bit of a hurry every time I take my dog for a physical exam. I liked the substitute vet a lot better. She was more thorough and genuinely sweet and calm. Dr. Nickie however appears to perform a quick exam with my dog such as feeling the body with palpation and listening with the stethoscope in a really swift execution. She appeared to be gross out too when she had to do anal expression on my dog. You'd think as a veterinarian she should be more used to it. This practice is definitely not cheap with their services, especially their medicines. They are iffy if you prefer to buy outside their practice which is totally legal here in PA. As an example, I compared their prices to reliable online source. It's more than double the price. That being said, I like that they have a walk-in service and I can easily schedule with them right away.

This practice has been great to work with. I had a situation where I had to walk in as an emergency and they were very accomodating. They remember to call back with test results and I am always able to talk to the doctor when I need to. Down to earth, caring and affordable.

They saw my dog as a walk-in. Great bed-side manner and reasonable rates. The Dr. seemed to be very thorough. The whole staff was friendly.
