DO NOT take your pet here !!!!!! They did not adress the issue my dog was having but rather try to line up a surgery for something she did not have. they left us leave knowing my dog was inpacted and in pain and did nothing , oh they did do xrays hydrate under the skin and give her something for nausa...... so they could add to my bill She was impacted and in pain, she did not have Pyrometra and how odd they told me they had another dog having surgery for Pyrometra on the table!!!!! I'll bet they did.. It is a sin what they do to people who love their pets and are in distress. My dog is still not out of the woods and probably worse off since they did nother for her. I will be reporting them to the BBB. I only wish i looked online for reviews for the place that needs to be shut down! I have to give this place a star so i can publish this but it does not deserve any!

I've been taking my dog to this clinic for many years. I find the front desk to be friendly and helpful and the vets to be kind and competent - most recently in a discussion about end of life issues (relevant because my dog is 15 years old): that's a hard topic. I think all of her treatment has been appropriate, and they've been understanding when I've chosen to purchase meds on-line for her. They also have followed up by phone regarding her care. I don't know that the costs are out of line; having a pet is expensive and having an elderly pet is even more expensive. I also like that they can do tests and procedures on site.

I have been to VCA Castle Shannon many times and have had nothing but good experiences. They do get busy from time to time, but the level of care is excellent and the folks there actually try to connect with your pets (petting and such) before they start the exam, which puts your already stressed pets and ease. All the vets are great, but I just love Dr Finn. She specializes in cat care and my cat who has stomatitis is doing wonderfully due to their correct diagnosis and treatment. I would give them 10 stars if I could ! Don't hesitate to go there. Your pet will receive care.

My pit bull molly was seen here by there wonderful staff! The wait wasnt too long (there were 3 others in front of us) and they were so kind. No bs kind of place, they tell it to you strait. I would recommend vca castke shannon to anyone who cares about their furry children!

Never go here. My cat was checked up here for a sore and she is now dead. How was her illness not caught. I had piece of mind that everything was ok and now I am heart broken. Do not go here if you love your pets please find somewhere else to go.
