My husband and I have been taking our pets (over the years, 4 cats and 1 dog) and each time we are greeted in a friendly/professional manner, all of our questions and concerns are addressed and the follow up after the appointment is excellent. The vets and vet techs are genuinely concerned about the well-being of our pets and are extremely kind and comforting to our pets in the examination. I highly recommend Abbott Valley Veterinary Center!

We have been bringing our dogs to Dr. Gifford for almost 20 years. We moved out of state 10 years ago and tried some local vets. We were never as happy with the local vets as we were with Dr. Gifford and decided it was worth the one hour drive to make sure our dogs got the care they deserved. Another reason we love AVVC is the vet techs. Like I said we tried a few other vets when we first moved. Some of the vet techs we encountered at these other locations seems like they were just there for a paycheck and not because they loved the animals. That is not the case at AVVC. All of the vet techs treat our fur babies like one of their own. Our dogs get more hugs, pets and kisses when they go to visit Dr. Gifford (and Dr. Mawry). Everyone there bends over backwards to make sure our poochies receive the best care. BEST VETS EVER!!!!!

My wife and I adopt senior and special needs dogs. Because of this, quality of care is the most important aspect when choosing a vet. I have been to 6 different vets and for various reasons, no longer use them. It may be the inability to diagnose properly, lack of staying on top of current methods or the staff may not be caring enough. We typically only have our friends 2-3 years, so we do everything in our power to make sure it's the best part of their life. ALL of the staff at Abbott Valley goes above and beyond when we visit. They actually care and offer up options, all while being considerate of cost and your pet's health and well being. If your pet needs something they cannot provide, they give you options of who can assist. We live out of state and drive over one hour to Abbott Valley and couldn't be happier with them.

I take my cat - George - to Abbott Valley Veterinary Center and I am very happy with all my services. George is not an especially easy cat to deal with. He always manages to get knots in his fur and he does not like to be brushed. So on top of all the medical services they give, they have also shaved the knots off on occasions. They are very patient with him and George and I both appreciate it. So give them a try and I know you will be happy.

I have been going to Abbott Valley since I took in a stray cat one winter about 12 years ago. All of the Dr's are very compassionate and friendly. The Technicians are well trained and treat your pet as a family member. Through the years they always treated my Stuie to the best of their ability and even in the last months of his life I received the knowledge to understand my cats health needs. They supported me when I needed it the most, and I received a sympathy card from Dr. Brandy Tanguay when he passed. Besides my Stuie, Abbott Valley welcomed my cat, Lilly, about 3 years ago and now our newest member of the family, Daisy, will be loved there as well. The offices are always very clean and the staff always greats me and my pet children with smiles.
