Absolutely my favorite vet in Rhode Island. I started taking cats here when I lived in East Greenwich, and have stuck with them through three moves since then and still happily drive from Providence to bring my big fluffy dog to the vet I trust the most. Other animal clinics and hospitals consistently give me the impression that they are either over-treating my animal in order to over-charge for unnecessary work or are not giving my pet the highest level of expertise or attention. Cowesett has two great vets who never leave me feeling like they should have done more OR should have done less. Both are fair, expert, and diligent in the care of animals, and the pricing of services.

I had a great experience here today as my dog was in distress. The staff were excellent as well as Dr. Korry. I would personally recommend Cowesett Animal Hospital to anyone who cares about their pet. I read the reviews below and was initially apprehensive, but after going there, I experienced ZERO of what was described in the negative reviews below. Thanks Cowesett !!

I chose Cowesett Animal Hospital as my veterinarian based solely on its proximity to my house. I have a very cranky 15-year-old cat who had not been seen by a veterinarian since well before I inherited her last year. When she started to show signs of her age, I knew she needed to be checked out. I called Cowesett Animal Hospital and explained her symptoms and asked about sedation so a proper exam could be performed. The staff member I spoke with explained the process they use and took the time to listen to my concerns. In spite of my difficult schedule, I was able to secure an appointment only a few days later. When we arrived for the visit, the staff was very friendly and my cat was surprisingly calm. Dr. Korry began the exam without sedation, however, it was soon abundantly clear that my cat did not want to be handled. Seeing her so stressed was upsetting to me, which Dr. Korry could sense. She stopped the exam to reassure me and decided that my cat would indeed need to be sedated. A short time later, the exam was complete. Dr. Korry explained what they had done and she detailed the various tests that they were going to run. Additionally, she explained some of the possible issues that these tests could reveal and let me know that they would call on Monday with the results. Dr. Korry called me about two hours after the exam just to check in and make sure that everything was okay. I received a phone call from Dr. Korry's office on Monday morning shortly after 9am, much earlier than I was expecting. I was given my cat's diagnosis and we discussed treatment options. Results from one test were not complete and I was told that they should be back in a few days. Dr. Korry called me on Thursday, gave me the additional test results and discussed my cat's progress so far and what would happen in the future. She spent almost 20 minutes on the phone with me answering all of my questions. While I've only had one appointment at Cowesett Animal Hospital, I am already extremely happy with their practice. I never felt like my cat was just another patient. I could tell that Dr. Korry and her entire staff truly care about animals and are dedicated to providing excellent care. The time spent with me simply scheduling an appointment, the compassion Dr. Korry had not only for my cat but for me as well, and the prompt and thorough follow up provided make Cowesett Animal Hospital the best veterinary practice I have ever experienced. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have found such a wonderful office based solely on its location!
