I totally agree with the other review about Dr. Verbrick's seeming annoyance when I would go in for appointments. I thought maybe it was me, and I'm glad to see it wasn't. She seems cold and snobby. I've been there somewhere around 10 times with multiple cats and she hasn't once smiled. I can't figure out why it's such a popular place to take your cat. Until today, that's been the only thing that bothered me about going there. My cat has asthma. Dr. Verbrick prescribed Prednisolone, a steroid that's commonly used for this condition in cats. So, I start giving it to her, she stops having attacks. I get her down to half a pill every other day. I go in to get a refill. Standing there waiting for her to finish putting whatever in the computer, I happen to open the bottle. I notice that the pill looks different from before... so I ask her about it, and she says that they switched manufacturers, everything's fine, it's the same, blah blah blah. Today, my cat was having more trouble than usual breathing. I think about the pill, I'm bored, I look up the pill on one of the pill identifier websites. I should say here that at some point, the drug stopped working. Instead of half a pill every other day I've been giving her 3 a day, and it doesn't work. Her attacks are as bad as if not worse than before she took anything at all, plus she's tired all the time. Okay. So I find out that they filled the bottle with Prednisone, not Prednisolone. No big deal for humans. Our liver breaks down Prednisone into Prednisolone. [Most] Cats can't. So, now I know when it stopped working... when she stopped taking the right drug.So first of all she lied to me. Second she filled a prescription drug incorrectly, knowingly. Imagine if the pharmacist had done this. They do dispense both drugs at regular pharmacies, and they cost half as much. Another thing I found out today. So, I call them. She admits to filling it with the wrong drug. They say that they aren't able to get prednisolone anymore. She'll have Dr. Verbrick call me. Three hours later I call back. She's left for the day. Nothing she can do. She's "not in Columbia", so can't be reached. ??? Uh huh, right. She's the one doctor in America without a cell phone, or at least a beeper, if people still have those. DON'T GO HERE. I don't think Dr. Verbrick even likes cats. It's weird. Also, if the Humane Society told you to go here, they now don't tell people that. I contacted my ex-boss there and told him what was up. He'll never suggest people go to the Cat Clinic again. He's also bringing it up with the Board of Directors there. The End.

The clinic's desk staff was welcoming and nice. Dr. Verbrick, however, lacked simple social skills - she came off as being inconvenienced by my appointment instead of happy and helpful. It also discouraged me that she hardly handled my kitten at all - she did not listen to her heart, take her temperature, or even feel for any unusual nodules around my kitten's throat (when I was bringing her in for nasal/congestion issues). It makes things harder to monitor at home if simple steps like this are not first checked at the visit - especially when I paid $42 for that visit. I didn't even know the appointment was over until she was halfway down the hall and I had to ask out loud, "Are we done?"

I'd have thought that having a cat-only clinic was not necessary for my multi-animal pet family. However, once I took my cat there, I knew I had found a home for us both. They helped me with health, behavior and nutrition information. This great team has helped me become a better cat-parent and has helped my cat become healthier and happier!

I had two rabbits neutered at the Cat Clinic. The service was wonderful. I'm not sure what happened with the reviewer who said that their prices were bumped up... the cost of neutering was less than half of what most places charge, including Pet Smart!

Not sure where the folks who said they were pricey and tried to bump up the charges came from, but this was the only clinic I could find that didn't require sedation to have my cat shaved. They were also less expensive that my previous vet on shots and "soft paws". I've been pleased w/ their services and facilities ever since I started bringing my cat there.
