I just recently moved here and chose Companion to take my dog to. All we got was a wellness exam and I felt like they did a great job! Dr. Lockhart knew exactly what he was talking about and was able to ask the numerous questions we asked. I hate that they have so many bad reviews but we like them so far!
This place is terrible. My dog had a wart on his ear. Dr Davis said it would not go away on its own. She said it would require surgery and he might lose a small piece of his ear in the process. I couldn't afford the procedure at the time so we went home ... and IT WENT AWAY ON ITS OWN! Money hungry. Also .. don't bother calling for information. The receptionists never know the answer to questions and are always asking to call you back.
I used Companion for its boarding services.....It was awful. First my husband went couple of days before to see and check it out. Our pet is one of the family. They went over how the take care of there animals, but when ask to see the place she would be kept they said he could not because you had to go thru the surgical area..(understood)..The day we were to leaving we took her there and again they said no when we ask to see the area she would be kept in, it was not cleaned up yet...my husband insisted we understood it needed cleaning...when we went back the urine was running out of the cages. She explained that they were short handed and she had not had time to take them all out. We excepted this and left Dixie there anyway. BIG MISTAKE. When we returned 4 days later the pillow and blanket we took was saturated with dry and wet urine. Which meant they had not taken her out. I would have been better off to have filled her water and food feeder and left her home alone....Don't make the mistake I did. I wish there was a quality score of less the POOR. That would be my choice
I am simply mystified by the bad reveiws. I have seen both Dr. Lockhart (followed him here from another office because my animals love him) and the addition of Dr. Davis was an asset in my opinion. My pug loves Dr. Davis and all the staff and it is obvious to me every tine that they are honestly concerned about her health. Dr. Davis has often given me recommendations for treating that did NOT involve expensive vet drugs (mostly OTC human medications and how to use them safely.) I was just there on Friday (Feb. 15, 2013) and my pug was diagnosed with bronchitis. I did have to have medications from the vet for her however with 2 doses in 48 hours she is noticeably improved. I could not be more pleased. Companion Vet Care ROCKS!!!
ok for shots and flea meds. not recommended for for animals with medical problems
