We have used Dr. Hewitt (and staff--Sharon is great) for almost 10 years now. When we first moved to town, we met a woman who told us a story about her vet making a midnight emergency trip to her home to care for her ailing dog. Chuck Hewitt was that vet, and after hearing the touching story we decided that he was the kind of vet that we wanted. We travel almost an hour each way to have our animals treated by Chuck and his staff and have always been treated with the utmost of professionalism. Several years ago, our beloved Siamese of 18 years started having trouble--she went down hill fast and was dead within 3 months of the first symptoms. Dr. Hewitt would call me M, W, F at 4 pm to see how Maui was doing and to see what he could do to help. It was and still is a most painful subject with us and brings us to tears even now, but the care that we received during the whole ordeal was tremendous and tender. There are not enough words to express our gratefulness to Dr. Hewitt and his staff for the care that our furry friends have received over the years. He is truly a one of a kind furry doctor and we will always be grateful for the many things that he has done for our family and the grace that has been extended during our furry friends times of difficulty.
