I disagree with the last two reviews. I have personally witnessed Dr. Pursely come in late at night to sit with and check on pets that have undergone surgery at Barkingham and he is genuinely concerned about their well being. Mary is also a wonderful person as for the walking she normally does not even do this (and the dog was probably being unruly). My dogs have received the Utmost of care from the entire staff and neither of them get upset in the car on the way there. The last vet they went to... not happy campers at all as soon as they realized where they were heading. :-\ I highly recommend Barkingham. I would not entrust my furry children anywhere else, because I KNOW they are in great hands there. Amanda, Susan, Mary, Cheryl, Judy and Dr. Pursely... THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!! We've been going to Dr Pursley for over 14 years. We love him & his staff! Highly recommend!

My dog bit my baby's face so we made the decision to put her down. The manager, Mary, was so kind and hugged me while I cried. When I calmed down she came back with us and stayed the whole time. The vet was so gentle and talked us through the whole thing. They were so gentle with her even after she had passed away. I recommend them to all my friends.

I drove by Barkingham Palace today and personally saw an employee physically mistreat the dog she was walking on a leash. It was very CRUEL. I went in to confront the employee and found it was the manager (Mary) who did this to the dog. She told me "that is what we do" when they misbehave. I was shocked. I would NEVER take my animal to this vet or recommend it to anyone else.

They don't have a very friendly staff and the doctor is a little stand-offish as well. The front staff doesn't even speak when I first walk in for each visit. Last time, I just stood there and waited for them to finish their PERSONAL conversation...it took 3-4 minutes. He charged very high prices for the quality of service that you get. We will be changing vets.
