The most reasonable prices you will ever find for cat care. Two of the best Vets I have ever been to and I have been a cat parent for 30 years. Brought my cat there who had lost 5 pounds in a month and was pretty much on her last leg, Dr. Kate dedicated herself to my kitty (Meatloaf) and she literally saved her life. She truly cared and I still take Meatloaf often to see her to make sure she is still on the right track, I tell her every time that she saved my babies life. Meatloaf is only 7 years old and can now live a normal and healthy life because of Dr. Kate's care...unless I ever moved far away, I would never take any of my 5 cats anywhere else for their care.

I worked at this place for a total of 3 days before I could no longer take how sad it was. The staff comes off nice and the prices are very reasonable, but for the love of God I BEG DO NOT drop you cat to get groomed. They brush to rip hair out, if the cat is scared and mean they will provoke it and try to kiss it on the mouth. They will not try to calm the cat and sure as hell not tell you how to make the next visit less agonizing for you precious baby. It was the worst experience I've ever encountered and left me in tears leaving the place. PLEASE don't leave your fur baby here.

It's possible the DR and her assistants were all having a bad day. They called Lugo "cat" without addressing him or myself by name. They tried to shove a pill down his throat for a fleas (1 flee) and pressing right on his sore mouth, which is why i brought him (the sore on his mouth). They complained about upcoming patients right in front of me! Unbelievable. I think they changed ownership. My initial visit a year ago was fantastic. I don't know what happen but please don't take your baby cat there.

I first brought my cat Hobbs to The Cat's Meow because he has seizures and I needed to get his medication refilled. His seizures have left him blind in one eye, and extremely anxious when he is not at home. They were able to give him a gentle exam, check his ears, eyes, heart, without getting him upset. Other vets have tried and blood has been spilled. I got his prescription filled, and they suggested trying a liquid form, which no other vet had ever told me of. Hobbs is two, and was a stray rescue in Boston. He's doing as well as he can now. I decided to take my other cat, Bosley. there because he seemed to be losing weight and his coat didn't look as pristine as it usually does. He's almost 13 and very special to me. They ran some tests and discovered his thyroid level was low. He's been on medication for about a week and a half, and seems to be putting on weight. At The Cat's Meow, I felt comfortable, being among other animal lovers. The beautiful and friendly cats that roam the waiting area are a joy to be around. Their prices are very reasonable as well.

I first brought my 3 cats to the Cat's Meow when we were moving to Pawleys Island from Massachusetts. I decided to look for a place to board them while we were moving into our new house. The facility was extremely bright and clean. Everyone there took time to note all information about my 12+ year old cats. I'll continue to use the cat's meow every time that we travel. (even though it is a little inconvenient from Pawleys Island)
