He's an old school vet. He's quiet and can seem unfriendly (although I don't think he means to be unfriendly). He really believes less is better. He will do the minimun treatment on your animal. This isn't always the best treatment but it is idea for someone who can't afford hundreds of dollars. I have been going to him for years and he saved the life of one my dogs. If I had went to another vet I would of probably had to put my dog down (I couldn't afford the test). Dr. Proctor treated my dog without the test. If I wasn't satisfied with his diagnosis I wouldn't think twice about getting a second opinion but you can't beat his price and he's a great person to see first when watching your money. Also, his vaccines are affordable and you generally get in quick!

We took our boston terrier to this vet several times complaining about her vomiting. He just looked her over and gave her a shot for nausa. We did this twice. The third time in about 6 months we took her back and saw a different vet. This time we took her because of a sore on her tongue. The vet said the tip of her tongue would fall off. He took blood work, and called us the next day to tell us she was in kidney failure. This was on a Wed. and I was told there was nothing that they could do that day for her, she would only die in a week anyway. We took her to St. Francis that day, more money sure, but she is still with us for now. I know her days are short, but we enjoy her every day she is with us. BTW she is going on 6 months, not the 1 week that they said.
