I have been taking my dogs here for a couple of years and they used to be okay, no big complaints. Although, I didn't like when the groomer told me she would need to sedate my 2 yr old schnauzer bc he had only been groomed twice. He's the most well behaved dog I've ever had. She did it anyways even though I told her I would rather her not. Also, good luck ever getting someone on the phone. I have literally called 20 times today, to attempt to get my dog's records, and the lines busy every time. I just called and someone picked the phone up and sat it down without answering it. I waited for 3 minutes before realizing that they had no intentions of actually talking to me, and of course the lines busy again... wonder why??..
My wife has been taking her pets to this pet hospital for years, so I was not worried when I dropped off my 6 year old beagle mix to be boarded for a few days. When I picked him up, he had a red bald spot on his rear end close to his tail. I asked for the vet to check it our before we left, and we were told it was an allergic reaction, and to just give him some Benadryl when we got home. When we got home we did, and also put a cone collar on him to prevent from biting it more. After about a week, he had gotten the collar off and gnawed off a large portion of his hair so badly that his rear end was raw and in some spots bloody. We took him to the vet as soon as we could, and we were told he had gotten FLEAS. We use a topical flea and tick repellent once a month, and were shocked at hearing this news since he had never had fleas before. We asked the vet what we should do (since we have never dealt with anything like this before), and were told to give an him oral flea medication, as well as an antibiotic (all totaling to $140). Two weeks went by as we bathed him with medicated shampoo, gave him the antibiotic, gave him Benadryl, kept the cone collar on securely, and kept a close watch on our dog while we waited for him to get better. He did begin to get somewhat better, but was still trying to get to his back any chance he could. I called the vet upset and concerned as to what we should do next. He said the dog was fine, he just had bad allergies, give it some more time. We again waited 2 weeks. Our dog is STILL wearing the cone collar, severely depressed, and we have found that our home is now infested with fleas. We are expecting a baby and can not continue to shell out money for a problem that we would not have had this vet taken proper precautions against fleas in his facility. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS OFFICE.
I've taken my cats there when they needed medical attention and have been totally satisfied each time. The quality of care is excellent and the staff is very friendly and seem to work so well under pressure. I would love to volunteer a few hours a week to help in any capacity where I could be of service to the hospital.
I have been taking my pets here for a long time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Both of the doctors are excellent. The prices are GREAT!
