The vet "nurses" have NO IDEA what they are doing. I took my two dogs to get a routine blood test for heartworms, as required to renew a prescription for heartworm prevention medicines. We had Groupons for both dogs. The "nurses" as they call them (they aren't nurses, just vet techs) have absolutely no clue. This guy couldn't draw blood on either dog. Two tries on the first one and he almost pumped air into the vein. The second dog he had to take to the back. When he brought the dog back to us 10 minutes later she had a hematoma on the arm. His explanation: "Oh don't worry about it. A hematoma is just a... blood clot... I think. That's what the vet said." This was his explanation. No, a hematoma is NOT a blood clot. I am going into human medicine and after hearing this guy not even know what a hematoma is, I was appalled that they continue to let him draw blood. A hematoma is a large collection of blood underneath the skin. It was more than likely caused by this clueless tech punching completely through a vein on the dog. It has now swelled up to twice the size it was yesterday, and the dog is having trouble walking on it. I understand dogs move around and it might be hard to get a stick on them. But this is your JOB. You are supposed to be a professional at this. If they just had trouble with one dog, I'd say maybe that dog was just a tough stick. But it was both of them, and he clearly had no idea what he was doing. If he didn't know how to do it, he should have gotten the veterinarian. Long story short, they need better trained people doing procedures. This guy either needs to be fired or given some serious on the job training. I will never be going back here. They did way more harm than good.
Great experience! The staff, vet techs, and the vet were all kind and talkative. I didn't even have an appointment and was in and out in less than an hour. The bill was higher than I expected, but they gave my pet two shots and a prescription, so I don't feel cheated. They had the medication he needed in the office, so I didn't have to make a separate trip to a pharmacy. Completely opposite from my last trip to an independent vet office. I'll definitely be using them from now on.
Fantastic Vet. Really attentive and is real good with people as well as their pets. I have nothing but praise for the way he treated my cats and me. Really was helpful with prescribing a special food for my cat with a mega colon. Also, my diabetic cat as well, was in good hands when Dr Martin took care of him. Thanks Eric Schneider
Vets perform extreme and unecessary procedures to make money. Kept my 10 week old puppy over night and gave her excessive amounts of medication (so they could charge me for it). Well all that medication killed her. All they could say was "sorry, we don't know what happened" Autopsy came back and said that the amount of pain medication in her system was higher than the recommended dosage. If you want your pets healthy (and alive), don't take them here.
