Our experience here was awful. In brief: We waited 20 minutes in the exam room for the vet to arrive--a length of time that's excruciating when you have two anxious pets to keep calm. The vet was very rough with our cat. They use pressure tactics if you decide to opt out of certain vaccinations (we got a graphic lecture that our cat was liable to be decapitated and the head disposed of if we didn't get the rabies vaccine). The entire staff generally had a condescending attitude, but especially the head vet. Before they even got our dog on the table they immediately tried intimidation tactics to get him to obey them (for commands that had nothing to do with the examination). They created MORE fear and anxiety in our dog, not less. They literally took (without asking) our dog from us and to the back room to further get him to "submit" as they continued to stand over him and intimidate him, and he was clearly very anxious and terrified. Pure conflict/domination tactics, never once asked us how we handle him, juts assumed they knew better. At that point, I told them we were done. Absolutely ridiculous experience and we will never be back again.
My wife Mary and I have been taking our cat to Dr. Linderman for the past eleven months. She has received excellent care from all the techs and Dr. Linderman. At 14 our cat does now have issues and we are always given honest opinions and options and never any pressure. We would recommend SGPH to anyone looking for a quality veterinary center for their pet.
I love Dr. Linderman! She is so great with my dogs, and my dogs love coming to get check ups! The staff are so awesome with all the animals too. She has been taking care of my boxer since she was 6 weeks old and also my miniature Australian Shepherd and she has done a wonderful job. She is very knowledgeable, answering any questions you have and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping yours pets.
I have been going to Standifer Gap Pet Hospital for more than ten years. I have both cats and dogs. and have had some strange pet issues over the year - such as a cat that went blind because of cancer and a dog that had a twisted lung lobe. In those cases Dr. Linderman gave me thorough information regarding the situation and options for care. My pets and I have always received caring and responsive service. They are a smaller vet and all that work there seem to genuinely care about the animals in their care.
Compassion, caring, understanding. Very good with my dog. He is ordinarily terrified at the vet. He comes in afraid like usual, but calms down within minutes. The best staff, and the best vet I have ever used. We're dealing with the most difficult situation a pet owner ever has to deal with right now. I'm so happy to be going through this difficult journey with the kind people at Standifer Gap Pet Hospital.
