I have used MidSouth S&N for years, and have never had a problem. My animals have always been treated well, with no complications. They do a tremendous service for the area, and I appreciate not only their low costs, but their generosity in providing such a valuable service for feral cats, rescued dogs, and those who care about them. Those who work and volunteer there truly care for these pets, and I'm grateful for them.

Everyone who works here is awesome!!! I am from Los Angeles, where I did cat rescue. I worked with "low cost" spay and neuter clinics. Let me tell you from my own experience that Mid South Spay and Neuter is a class act. First, they treat you and your pet like they have known you forever. They are neat, organized and friendly. I was impressed. When I went to pick up my kitten after his neuter, we had to watch a video explaining the procedure, why it is important to spay and neuter, and what to expect from your pet after the surgery. It answered any question you may have, and they were still ready to answer any concerns you could possibly have. You cannot pick up your pet unless you watch that video. That just blew me away! My kitten came home groggy, later that night he ate and drank normally. He is doing great, no infection, no pain...he acts the same as before the surgery. I highly recommend Mid South Spay and Neuter. I am taking another kitten for her spay in two weeks. I already know I do not have to feel anxious about this place. I know my kitten is in good hands and will be just fine. These people simply rock. They care and they act like it. I read earlier reviews that the staff was hard to get ahold of. I had no problems. I spoke to them several times, I always talked to Brittany, not a machine. We did not have to play phone tag. You have to remember, these people are busy!!!! If they are not grabbing the phone when you call, it is because they are with a client. Be patient!!!!! Update 7/14/14 I have taken a total of 4 kittens here. I love these people. Three of the kittens were females. I was expecting freaked out kittens. They were not traumatized at all. They acted loving and normal. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I brought my dog here to get spayed, first off they are extremely hard to reach I had to go down there to make an appointment, second a month later I went down there again beacuse I misplaced my papers to show she got her shots and was spayed and they tell me she was not in the system and they had no evidence she was ever there. Missing paper work? Very unprofessional. I had to go get her shoots again, which granted was partly my fault for losing the paper work.

Super nice staff.....somewhat difficult to reach!! (Don't miss their call back!! ) But the price is more than reasonable and such a great effort towards a great cause!! I got my 2 girl dogs spayed and they had zero problems!! I recommend them to all animal lovers I meet who cant afford to take to a regular vet but want to do the right thing!! TeamSpay&Neuter!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! I have two kittens, both of which I brought to them to be spayed. Both of them developed infections from this procedure. One of them had to be held for two extra nights at Memphis Spay and Neuter. When I brought her home she had a 2" diameter hole in her stomach. They neglected to close this wound in any way. When I called the "emergency" number no one answered. I didn't receive any call back until the following night (27 hours later)! I had to take both kittens to Berryhill Animal Hospital in order to have the wound closed, antibiotics issued, and the infection site cleaned properly. If you value your pets well being stay away from Memphis Spay and Neuter.
