I recently moved to Nashville and this vet was recommended by the one I unfortunately had to leave behind. Not only are the exact same procedures & examinations four-times the cost that I have paid at other vets previously, but I honestly feel like they were keeping my cats sick so that I would return and provide them a revenue stream. They wanted $306 to spay my female kitten (6mo). I called my previous vet and asked them how much the same would cost, and they quoted me at $102. I took my male cat here for a simple case of the worms after the new kitten arrived and they slapped me with a $165 bill just for him. Between these two cats, I spent $900 in a single month over a case of worms that I still don't feel was resolved properly - cats seemed miserable for a month afterwards but have sense recovered. They never treated my cats poorly, but I sure was. I feel duped and I can not in good faith recommend anyone take their animals here.
I have been taking my cats to this clinic for over 20 years. The staff are always kind and pleasant. I have had the pleasure of working with all of the vets, Kim, Mike and Darinda, all of whom are extremely caring and are the best vets around. Mike Pritchard took great care of my first two (now deceased) cats, and euthanized them for me, all with great compassion. I now have 5 cats, and all of them get the best care at Belle Forest Animal Clinic. I consider them to be the best in Nashville!!
Positive experience. I have been looking for a trustworthy vet close to home for my three dogs. I stumbled across Dr. Talbott and Belle Forest Animal Hospital when my oldest dog fractured her toe. The staff were kind, caring and helpful. Dr. Talbott was knowledgeable and provided great service. I will continue using this veterinary clinic in the future.
Dr. Brasher and her team are magnificent to work with! She helped me save one of my cats life and helped me take care of two others during their elderly years. Her compassion and heart centered insight for what your fur child needs is beyond that of any other vet I have known in the last 30 years. the staff is equally as caring and loving. You fur kids will be well taken care of at Belle Forest Animal Hospital!!!
We were stunned at our horrible experience at this clinic after reading so many good reviews and having a decent experience there about 16 years ago. My son had moved to Nashville with his 3 cats about 6 months ago and had not found a vet yet. One of our 1.5 year old neutered male catswho up until Sat. June 15 seemed fine. He refused dinner although he came to the feeding area at feeding time to eat. Sunday morning he didnot get up at all. Monday I took him to Belle Forest clinic. The vet said she was sure with such a high fever it had to be a blodd parasite (even though I insisted there was virtually no possiblity of exposure to fleas or ticks.)$202.00. We were told someone would call and check on Percy over the next few days. No one did. He did not seem any better on Thursday, so we took him back in. Temp. had not gone down at all. We had to see a different vet because of scheduling. She was still insistent on the blood parasite from flea or tick idea even though I ask if it could possibly be anything else since we were sure there no fleas or ticks in his environment. She wanted to keep trying to treat for blood parasite and changed the medicine. That was $130.00. Friday I reported that he had peed outside of the box, brought in a smaple of it and picture...., and said he was much worse and not eating either. Still they wanted to stick on this unreasonable diagnosis and said his temp was down 1 degree. Saturday he could not even stand up so I brought him back in. Because it was abusy sat we were told they would do a $129.00 blood test but we would have to wait until they closed to get the results. A technician was cmoning in and out of the room giving us conflicting info about diseases and treatments. Then finally at about 1:30 the vet came in and announced our cat was in total kidney and liver failure and would probably not make it. We did take the referral to Nashville vet specialist and took him their sat. night. $2100.00 later, we put our cat to sleep (something I have never had to do...and now its 3 days later and we still dont know what was wrong with him.We were impressed with nashville vet specialist ( they seemed so much more knowledgeable and skilled at explaning things than the vets and techs at belle forest. (I guess that is why it cost so much)...Anyway, you would have thought that the vet maight have showed some interest afterwrods, like did you lose your cat or find out what s wrong, but non one from Bellee Forest bothered to call us for followup. We now have a bunch of medicine that we paid for that is useless. I would not recommend ths vet clinic if you value your pet's life. This was a very painful experience and was made worse by the misdiagnosis and lack of followup. I will say that once they told us our cat was dying, they did not rush us out and gave u s about an hour to decide whether we would go to the emergency vet or euthanize there...and of course they obligingly gave us the price list for euthanasia and disposal of remains....And of course we were thankful for the referral to Nashville Vet Specialist. They were extremely skilled and so much more compassionate than Belle Forest staff.
