We just moved to Nashville and had to find a new vet for our dogs and cat. We have been to the office 4 times now and we have been so happy every time. The girls in the front are always so personable and sweet to our pups. The doctor's and their assistants are always very helpful and I can tell that they genuinely care about their patients. The prices are very affordable as well. I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I fully trust them with all of my fur babies!
Everyone who works here seems to love pets! An assistant helped calm my dog down the entire time she was getting vaccinated. The woman at the front desk was also very nice. When my dog peed on the floor, they graciously cleaned it up with no complaints. I can't say anything bad about this place. Recommended!
Without a doubt the most caring staff, combined with the experience and wisdom of doc too, this is unbeatable for vet care!
If you want to go somewhere that you trust (and trusts you) and is personable, I do not recommend this office. The last couple of times I've dealt with them, I felt they were trying to swindle me into getting more services. One time they insinuated my dog's UTI was trauma (and asked if I had ever hit her- which was sincerely offensive) and that they may need to run Xrays, etc etc... and it was of course, a UTI, that meds cleared up within 2 days. Another example, being my recent purchase of Heartguard from them. My main vet is back home (I'm a college student) so I use Bellevue only if my dog ever gets sick or if I need more routine medicines for her (flea, heartworm preventative, etc). They wanted me to get her ANOTHER heartworm test with them, when she was up to date with a recent one from her regular vet. Because they had no proof she had regularly been on heartguard-(they did have the records though from her annual physical showing where she was heartworm negative). But bc there was no proof she had been on Heartguard regularly they didn't want to sell it to me. They wouldn't believe me, which is crazy when I have always been on top of my dogs health. It truly made no sense, and I finally had to get a little ugly with them just so I could get the medicine to prevent heartworms in my sweet dog...it was ridiculous and I plan to find a new local vet on Monday. There are better places to go in a metro area like Nashville.
I began using this clinic because it was conveniently located. I noticed that my dog is unusually sedated when he comes back home from boarding. For example, my potty trained dog would be sleeping and then wake up all of a sudden go to the hallway and urinate and then go right back to sleep (like he was sleep walking). I understand that the dogs are probably tired from barking back and forth, but I have the sneaking suspicion that they are drugging the dogs. Oh and I did notice the kennel caretakers yelling at the dogs. I would rather them tell me if they are sedating my dog rather than do it behind my back. Also, my dog had a cut which bled slightly. I took my dog to this clinic because I was concerned and the vet wanted to charge $450 to place one stitch. He was talking fast too. Saying things like, "you might as well just leave your dog here so he doesn't bleed all over the carpet, then we can get the surgery done in the morning." It was a small cut and slight bleeding, yes, I was concerned, but not $450 concerned. I decided to wait a couple of days and the cut healed on it's own. The last time I took my dog for boarding they came out with him without his blanket and said that we never brought a blanket. They had to go and look for it meaning the blanket was never with him in the kennel. I could understand if they washed the blanket because I have been to a kennel that couldn't find his bedding because they washed it, but they didn't say that. He also came back with infection in all four paws. I had to reflect on all of my experiences there.... most weren't very good. I just think that it is unsanitary and extremely smelly. Believe me there are vets out there that can keep the smell down better than that (Belle Meade Animal Hospital, Dr. Greene, Harpeth Valley). The veterinary isn't personable and neither is his tattooed assistant. Although, I did like the receptionists.
