I am Karen Dypolt with Dames for Danes Great Dane Rescue. We use Dr. Shaw and the lovely Dr. Walker for our rescue Danes. As well i take all six of my personal dogs to this office. I have never been treated with such kindness and such personal touches as i have with this office. Dr. Shaw is the best at what he does and might i say an excellent Large Breed Vet too. We would like to say how much we love the office staff as a whole...Sandy, Tammy, Melissa, Mickey.......they are all so marvelous!!! Keep up the good work Ideal!! We know your the best in town!!!!!

The staff at Ideal are all top notch....we have been using this group for about 12 years. Dr. Shaw has given great care to all our animals, especially our diabetic cat, we couldn't afford a glucose meter so he let us borrow his so he could determine the best course of action,Jewel is still with us taking two shots a day but doing very well. We have also had several dogs and other cats,I now plan on getting ferrets and was happy to find out that Dr. Shaw also tends to these little ones. Thanks to all !

Positively Outstanding! When I first moved to Oak Ridge I did not have a lot of money. I needed vaccinations for my 2 of my 4 kitties and I called all the vets in town and to price out services. Ideal Vet was by far the cheapest and most professional sounding hands down. When I took my fur babies to Dr. Shaw the next day the care was excellent. I have lived here for 3 yrs now and he is the only vet I take my little ones to. You can tell he did not become a veterinarian to upcharge and become a millionare. He is in it for the animals. One vet in town wanted to charge me $300 for a spay. He only charges $75 for the exact same procedure. The care of your animal is not compromised due to a lower cost. In fact, I saw an even more caring attitude because his establishment exists for the right reasons.
