After having an awful experience with Mountain Home Vet that included an over-priced erroneous check-up, a scheduling error, and rude attitudes, Sevier County Animal Clinic agreed to see my bunny immediately! As soon as they saw my bunny, they knew what was wrong and took care of her immediately! I was also charged considerably less for receiving actual help than I was at the other vet. I will most definitely be taking my little bunny to Sevier County Animal Clinic for any future check-ups!
My family and I were visiting the area and needed assistance in filling a prescription for one of our pet's heart condition. The Sevier County Animal Clinic was the only animal clinic in the area that was able to help us. They filled the prescription and were very kind in doing so. We greatly appreciate the help and thank them for everything!
Whatever you do,DO NOT take your pets there ! There is a fair chance you'll wind up with a DEAD PET, & nothing else but a pile of excuses about how "It's not our fault" etc, & a large bill. Our cat died a horrible death after an enema & blood test. My wife picked up our cat about 8:30pm & was told he was resting comfortably,& everything had gone just fine, so unfortunately, she didn't pull the cat OUT of the carry case to see him. 15 min later she got home, shegot the cat out and started screaming. Our cat was absolutely as limp as a wet rag & gasping for breath with it's little mouth strained wide open. Yellowish discharge was coming out from it's mouth & watery poop was coming out from behind. We immediately called back to talk to the doctor (dr Jenny Darden) . She proceeded to backpeddled like a politician, refused to wait 15 min for us to get back there for help, as they were closing. Well, I guess we wouldn't want to put them out or anything, you know. Then she said we should go to an emergency service in Alcoa or Knoxville. Again, passing the buck like a damned politician. Now, after she'd made the excuse that "the cat was in shock from the treatment, she's telling us to pack up the cat & drive an hour to someplace I have never been to, don't know where it is, & furthermore probably can't afford it after paying a total of approx $600 for 2 visits. Emergancy animal clinics are generally cash only or large limit credit card. So, doc Jenny wished us goodluck & hung up. So, we tried literally all night to save him, or at least comfort him, but he died after 11 hours of choking for air, while doc Jenny was at home relaxing after a long day of quackery. I can't imagine what they did to my kitty, but they hurt him badly while he was there. I don't think it's common for cats to die after an enema & blood test, especially when they had been IMPROVING during the previous week. Improving enough to run around outside & jump up on our bed. My guess is they were having a little trouble with the kitty wriggling around & someone there probably pinned him down Hard so he couldn't move, & crushed his chest &lungs. Please, if you love your pets like I do, go somewhere else. Anywhere else. This clinic is a lousy place, & if you search google, you'll find plenty of other examples like mine. Of poor treatment, overcharging, pet deaths, etc. Also, the owner later called my wife about it, made a pile of excuses & denials in an unfriendly manner. She told him to call me, when I heard nothing, I left a message for him to call me, but apparently he's only into berating women, not man enough to mess with his own size.
Worse than going to see a timeshare, the people just want you to buy their medication and if you want to get a prescription and go somewhere else "oh I don't know if we can do that". Wouldn't go back if it was free, unfortunately the shelter I went to sent my pet there for a spay so had no choice. These people are the definition of poor service and money hungry.
