After my adult dog attacked my new puppy over a soured game of tug of war, I was directed to Swann Animal Clinic. The incredibly efficient staff, who were concerned and courteous, took the puppy back to see a vet immediately after we walked in the door. We filled out paperwork while Dr. Beau Shilling looked him over. I was really distraught about the whole situation, but Dr. Shilling was very reassuring and patient with me even though I was emotional. He explained thoroughly what he thought needed to be done and why. He calmed my nerves by providing a detailed description of what was going on with the injuries (it wasn't as bad as it looked, thankfully!). And he answered every single one of my questions and gave detailed instructions for care at home. I also really appreciated that the facilities were immaculate, that they told me how much it would cost up front, and that we were in and out in less than an hour. Someone from the clinic even called me the next morning to check on us and gladly answered a hundred other questions I'd thought of. It was probably the most positive experience I've ever had with a healthcare provider, for animals or otherwise. And my puppy seems to be healing up just fine with minimal distress. A+
They got us in on very short notice for our sick dog. There was no wait time- we were seen exactly when our appointment was. Fast, caring and professional staff. The doc was very personable and we're very happy with her review of our dog's medical history and her treatment. Two thumbs up.
I have been to many vet clinics here in Amarillo, none of which I was really able to trust after one visit. So I was a bit nervous when my mom told me she made an appointment for my cat, Dreamer, at Swann, I didn't really know what to expect. My mom made the appointment in the morning, and we scheduled an appointment at 4:00 later that day. Right whenever we walked in, the kind receptionist looked in our carrier and very happily asked, "Oh, is this Dreamer?" I was so amazed that she remembered from that morning. We were able to quickly fill out our paper work and sat in the clean waiting room, talking with another women who brought in her two dogs while admiring their paintings of other animals. We walked into the exam room when we were called in by a different, yet just as kind, nurse. She didn't mind listening to our story about why we came in , and by the time we were finished, she new exactly what tests to run. Upon returning. the nurse brought in the amazing Dr. Solomon. He also heard our story and gave us some amazing advice about Dreamer and told us where to go for further information. He gave Dreamer his shots and we were happily on our way. I returned two days later to give them an at home fecal test that I had to take, (the nurse said that there was "nothing up there" when we went the first time, so I had to collect the feces at home), and the same nurse recognized me and asked how he was doing. Luckily, Dreamer's Leukemia, worms and other test that I can't remember the name of for the life of me, all came back negative. My only regret is not getting the nurse and receptionist's names. Our experience with Swann Animal Clinic was the best. I will definitely be returning to Dr. Solomon, and the kind nurse and receptionist if anything comes up.
while I didn't love the reason I had to go (to have my dog put down due to health issues) This place was amazingly kind. We were seen as soon as we got there. The Vet Techs were kind and understanding. They presented me all of the cost and options available. It was no doubt a very sad visit but the staff made it as peaceful as possible. A few days after my visit. I received a very sweet hand written condolence letter signed by all the office staff. It was such a nice gesture, that many places would never take the time to make.. I look forward to happier visits at this office. I would highly suggest it.
We take our dog Digory to Swann Animal Clinic. The new building is really nice. The staff has always been super friendly and very helpful. Dr. Seth is fantastic too. We highly recommend them.
