Everyone at CAV is fabulous. From the receptionists to the techs to the vets themselves, you can't ask for more caring and responsive care for your pets. If you find yourself in the unfortunate spot of needing specialty/oncology care for your pets, you won't regret taking them to CAV. They make going through these difficult times just a little bit easier.

Went through 2 vets to get reccomended to this place because no one could determine what was wrong with my dog. Decided to go through surgery and they quoted me a low end and high end price which was 500-700 difference. The vet looked me in the eye and said it will only be the low end payment, this is a minimal surgery. SOOO come to pick my dog up and the price has gone up $800 OVER the HIGH end price and no one called. I have taken my dog here for check ups and done drops off and I ALWAYS have to call to see how he is doing and if he is ready. They say the vet will call you back as soon as he visits with the dog. This is NOT the case. Be prepared to call multiple times to get updates on your dog or else be prepared to have him left in a kennel at this place ALL day. It if very frustrated for people who work hard to make a living and want to take care of their animals to be treated disrespectful. Obviously there is a lack of communication in this place and a lack of respect for peoples wallets unless you want to apply for a credit card! Don't go here unless he is your last resort!

I totally disagree w/all of the negative comments posted. You can't find a better place to care for your animal. I've been taking my baby there since Jan of this year and I travel all the way from the north side of Waco to do so. The surgeon you are talking about is one of the kindest most loving and caring people you'll ever meet...she is all about doing the right thing for your animal. She has done things for Zoe and I that I would never expect a Dr to ever do for someone. As far as the staff they are very professional as well as loving and caring towards both the animal and their owners. They see to it that ALL the needs of the animal and owner are met. They always have a smile on their face and a happy tone in their voice which is so great to hear seeing as the majority of the animals seen here have something going on that is very upsetting to their owner. I have dealt w/4 of the Drs here and each one of them is awesome. I spent a good number of days hanging out in their waiting area and NEVER did I see a single disappointed person or an unhappy dog leave this place! I could go on for hours talking about this place but I won't. I would however recommend everyone w/an animal that needs a specialist to go here because you will never find better care elsewhere.

I love and trust the staff at Capital Vet Specialists. We unfortunately had to have multiple surgerys for our dog, but they discounted the second and third which was very helpful. Dr. Andrews was our surgeon and he was kind and patient and answered all my questions whenever I had them. These guys know what they are doing and I highly recccomend them .

We love this place ! We used Dr. Pamela Jones, the oncologist and she was so helpful to us. She was honest but still gave us some extra time with our young 4 year old precious Abigail who had extreme GI Lymphoma and we are very thankful for that time. She and her team are the best and I recommend them to anyone !!!! Abby loved them all very much too !!!
