My family and I brought our dog in to this clinic tonight with the intention of having him seen. When we got there we were greeted by a vet and a tech of whom did a quick assessment on him. I decided to take him out to use the bathroom when he suddenly seemed less symptomatic. We decided to go ahead and take him home for observation instead of the immediate cost we would incur. When I told the staff, they were MORE than understanding and kind! I felt bad having brought him in and leaving.. but they did a great job ensuring my return if needed! They get 5 stars : ) So glad they are there!

I have never written a review about any business in my life, but I am compelled to write this review tonight. I called the clinic because my dog had bright red blood leaking from his rectum and I was very concerned. The employee answering the phone told me that I should bring my dog into the clinic. Well...flash forward 3 HOURS later and NO ONE, not even a vet tech had so much as said hello to us. Finally, I gave up, left the clinic, and took my dog to a different emergency vet. The customer service is disgraceful. If they don't have the proper number of vets and staff on site, they should not accept walk in emergencies. I will NEVER bring my dog to this clinic and no one else should either.

It is no surprise that the vast majority of reputable vets in Austin direct their clients to the Emergency Animal Hospital for after-hours/weekend care. They have been in business the longest and have the best vets. Don't be fooled by the others. Over the last 10 years, twice I made the mistake to bring my pet to a closer clinic and twice I kicked myself for not driving a little farther to make sure that I had the best care. I'll never make that mistake again! If you want to save your pet's life, then go to one of the two Emergency Animal Hospitals. The North location is one Research (183) and the South location is on Frontier Trail.
