I have an 11 year old lab that I love like a daughter. When she recently lost the use of her left side (front and back), I felt like the best decision I could make for her was to put her to sleep. (It was a tortuous decision, but I absolutely did not want her to suffer) A friend of mine asked if I had considered acupuncture. While I did not feel very optimistic, I agreed to try. Dr. Bernard made a special trip to Liberty Hill Texas where my dog was hospitalized. She had been treated with steroids and had not shown any improvement for three days. After her treatment on Saturday morning, she stood up in her kennel. She has continued to improve, is now home, and Dr. Bernard has treated her several subsequent times. I could not be more grateful for his knowledge and his compassionate care. What an amazing gift to go from death's door back to her happy smiling self.
