Great service. They have taken great care of our dog for years now. They handle everything with a smile. The offer boarding as well as general care.
I started going there 7 years ago and loved it. The drs r still good but the staff otherwise sucks. They make me feel guilty everytime I can't afford a teeth cleaning or a $300 alergy test for my dog. And then they changed my dogs records into my ex's name without asking. Then the same receptionist made me call my ex to prove that the cat I brought in was really mine and not hers. Then they called my ex months after I had moved and given them all my new info to verify a vet appt. So if you have a split up ya better hope your the one they like otherwise they will give you crap and make you jump thru hoops and ontop of it give you attitude. And the place smells bad everytime I go in. Even when they have just opened and I'm the first one there. I found a much better and caring vet to go to. Ill never go back. And make sure I tell people not to go there. Very unprofessional people work there!
I had been to a lot of vets in Austin and never found one I liked - most places I felt rushed and dismissed. One doctor told me my dog's ear infection had cleared up without even looking at his ears! The first time I came here it was totally different. The vet techs spent a few minutes petting my dogs to help relax them, the vet took time to answer my questions and they did a very thorough examination of both dogs. Definitely a great, caring staff!
First the good both the staff and the vet where very nice and seemed to genuinely care about their patients. We took our cat in to discuss getting him declawed for potential health issues (he has radial hypoplasia and is polydactyl). As a result of these conditions he has claws btwn his toes and in one instance a claw coming out of one of his pads. Additionally he is physically unable to retact his claws ever. He occationally even pulls out his own claws. The vet examined him and met with us and explained she did not think declawing him would benifit his situation in any significant way so no surgery for my cat yeah! The bad they gave my cat fleas. He is an indoor cat and has never had fleas before. When we called the vets office they dismissed the idea out of hand that my cat got fleas at their facility and tried to sell us flea meds. My cat was behind on his shots so we agreed to let them vacinate him. Upon picking him up and paying the bill there was an addition $40 charge. I asked what it was and was told it was a for an inspection to see if my cat was healthy enough to receive a vaccine. I asked what they did and basically was told they did a vidual inspection. At no time when discussing getting the shots was I told they were going to charge me an extra $40.
