September 19, 2014 my cats were brought in for a recheck. This time I saw a different vet. Had the two vets not been consulting each other on my pets I could have been taken advantage of by requiring more test. Instead, I was instructed to continue the meds and since two of the cats had a slight discharge from their eyes, sent home with eye ointment. I would not consider going to another vets. The staff are helpful and considerate of me and my pets.

Took both of my dogs there in April 2013 for heart worm check and purchased 14 months of medicine for each dog (4 total 6 month packages and promotional 4 extra doses). I went there today to get more medicine right at the 14 months and they refused saying they only gave me 8 months total for each dog and I would have to bring them in again and pay for another test. This is 100% inaccurate and when I tried to explain to the guy that I have an automatic reminder to give them the medicine every month, it did not matter. Their records are wrong and he acted like that is impossible that someone in their office could have made a mistake. I believe this to be a way to exploit more money out of their customers and is dishonest and unethical business practices.

I read the other reviews and I had a totally positive experience. We needed to get our new puppy spayed and our two older dogs teeth cleaned. I called around to the closest three vets and was quoted prices from $1,100-$1,500 for the three procedures. After being totally shocked at the quotes, I called Wells Branch Pet & Bird Clinic, b/c like Mark E. I'd seen a coupon in a weekly mailer. I called late, expecting an answering machine and spoke with Dorie on the phone, the evening receptionist. She was extremely helpful and explained all the procedures to me and quoted me $450. Being delighted with the quote, I asked her when we could schedule. She got us in the next day. She said I could drop them off anytime between 7 and 8:30am. I elected 7 am, so as to try and miss some of the morning rush hour. I used my GPS and found them without any difficulty, they are on the west access road of Mopac, just south of Parmer lane and just after United Heritage Credit Union. The staff as efficient and friendly when we arrived. They were wonderful with our three dogs. Their office is located in an old house and the yard could stand to be mowed and treated for weeds, but the office is very clean inside. I wasn't too happy to find out they would be ready anytime after 5pm, but that quickly turned into great joy, when I discovered I could pick them up as late as 8pm and could again miss rush hour! The vet called me around 10 am, to explain everything to me and wanted to be sure I understood everything and the associated risked before she began, which I thought was very helpful. We went back to pick them up at 7:30pm and the evening staff was just as friendly and helpful with us and the dogs and the morning crew. I was amazed that the bill was only $438, less than they quoted and about a third of the cost of the three local vets. They even lent me leashes to take them out to the car, as I'd forgotten ours at home, though I'd taken them in, when I dropped them off. The pain medication for the spayed puppy and the antibiotics for the older two dogs (due to their stage 3 periodontitis, infected teeth) was all shown to me, the explained and gone over. Two of them required syringes and they conveniently marked the correct amount on individual syringes including in the two boxes. I found that going beyond what was necessary. The dogs were recovering fine, but a few days later, the puppy's spay incision began seeping blood, after her being over-active, which they said not to let her do, but she's a puppy and she wants to play. Anyhow, I called and they said it probably was fine, but to come on in, if we wanted and the vet would check it out. They told me she'd be there until 7:30pm or so, so again, I was able miss rush hour! :) We took her in that evening and the vet checked it out probing the wound and assured us that it was healing fine and sometimes would do this. She advised that we try to and keep her calm until the wound healed over, but that if we had any concerns to call and come back in. We were not charge for the visit. Great service, FANTASTIC prices, awesome hours! I give them two thumbs up from a very picky shopper!

I have very good experiences and service every single time I have taken a pet here. Staff are very thorough.
