UNCARING AND VERY EXPENSIVE When I moved to the city from Sugar Land I had to look for a new vet. I began bringing my sweet Cici here. I had never had any issues with this Vet until last month. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes. They kept her for a week and a day. They told me the dosage of insulin to give her. It has been a month and a half and my sweet cici has passed. She began suffering from seizures. I called the Vet at 5 in the afternoon he wasn't there but I left a message with the front desk about what was going on. I took her to the ER immediately since they couldn't help me. ER told me her glucose was at 696 when it should be at 150-200. My vet never told me to follow up or to check her glucose at home. I had never and a diabetic pet so I never knew what the proper steps for this was. The 2 ER vets I spoke with were shocked that they didn't tell me to go in for follow ups every week or 2 weeks to get her on the right dosage of insulin and regulated. I picked her up from the ER and took her to another vet the next day she was only getting worst. I told him everything that was going on as well as the Vet tech and they couldn't believe she hadn't been getting her glucose checked regularly. Cici was not going to get better. Her seizures were happening more frequently and whether the diabetes was partly or factor; I will never know. What I do know is that SWAC took my money (VERY EXPENSIVE) and didn't thoroughly explain the proper steps to get Cici regulated. I do not recommend this vet. The staff and Vet where I took to put her down were very kind and caring. I highly recommend. I heard about them through other people who take their pets there and they've never had any issues. We love these folks. Their bedside manner is really tops. Our old cat has fought with every vet she's ever been too--in general she has to be sedated for even minor procedures. That hasn't happened since finding Dr. Von Eiff. All the staff is super caring and compassionate and we would never go anywhere else.
