Calling around trying to find a new vet as we are new to the area. Called, and asked these people how much it would cost to declaw a cat? I was given a flippant answer of it starts at a hundred. I asked if there was an end price? Again a flippant answer of we really dont know that as many factors go into that like age, and weight of animal. I said my cat weighs ten pounds, and is two years old. Was given another flippant answer of well for a fee if you really want you can bring cat in for vet to see how much it would cost. Really??? Sounds a LOT like the biggest rip off scam I have run into yet. No end quote means easily you agreed to a vet bill of any price the vet wishes to put on you. EVERY vet I call has a set price for declaw!!! I guess this vet thinks us the public has stupid written across our heads. Good luck to anyone who is not smart enough to catch what this flippant speaking front end help are telling you. Beware dont go here.

Perhaps they are too busy now but I specifically asked if Dr. Morrison could be reached when I called about my sick puppy on Monday at lunch time. The receptionist said of course, and took my number for a return phone call. A call that never came that day. After waiting 4 hours to see if I should bring the puppy in or do something from home for him, I went home to find him dead. Dr. Morrison did not kill my puppy but he sure did not do anything to help him either. My trust has been betrayed and I can no longer in good conscience take my beloved pets to this office.

Owning three dogs of varying ages for the past three years has given me some tremendous insite into the practices of veterinary medicine. Unfortunately, for the most part, vets and their practices are worried about making money more than helping animals or their owners. Case and point would be the corporate franchised VCA locations in and around San Antonio. I can truly say that this is exactly the opposite with Dr.Morrison. In fact, the man has a heart and truly cares about animals and their owners. He is one of the few practitioners left who is not worried about referring pet owners to specialty or emergency locations that provide a kickback of their ridiculous fees to the referring physician. He actually listens to his customers and takes things like cost and quality of life into consideration before recommending some overpriced procedure that will do nothing to cure your animal. I brought my little pug man in yesterday after he fell extremely ill over the weekend and Dr.Morrison helped us out in the best way possible. Afterward, seeing that I was is obvious emotional distress, the doctor actually sent me away saying that we could square up later. Thanks Doc, that meant a lot. I'll be bringing my animals here and only here for as long as I am able to and I would recommend anyone in the area do the same.

I have never had a vet try to save me money, but this guy does. He is obviously in it because he cares about animals. I have taken my cat Tigger there for his help and he always has the best answer, better than my own theories, for which I have to admit he knows his work. I am sorry to hear about the lady with her puppy, but I think she might have waited too long and there was nothing a vet can do when it is too late.
