I highly recommend not asking the amount you will have to pay over the phone because the price they state over the phone is a complete lie. I was having my dog fixed here because the animal shelter on 242 gave me a paper saying that it's "low cost" and would be $60. Which is a lie now because they include a $20 fee for a shot. I would not have a problem with, but my boyfriend called the day or two before we took her in and he asked the max amount it could be and they said $185. I took my dog in and signed for everything they told him would be included in that cost and when he went to pick our dog up they told him the total was $275, when he made a comment about the amount they had agreed on the woman said well we can take the pain pills off, which would bring it down to $265. I find that comment quiet rude. In all honesty they seem friendly, but they don't really tell you what is wrong or what they are doing until they are in the process of doing so. I am young this is my first dog to take care of on my own and they do not explain things that they are doing. I only went here because I am a college student and I was told it is a "low cost" vet, so if you're told that it is "low cost" it is a lie.
We are very pleased with this vet clinic. Service was good, staff is nice, they are not pushy, and office is clean. For some this might not mean anything, but there is a Noah's Ark painting in the reception area, and at the end of our apt. the doctor said "....and we will see you in 3 weeks to check her progress, The Lord willing this treatment will get her back on track". For us that goes a long way. Update: We took 2 more of our cats in to have fixed, they needed one vaccination each plus neutering, it was less than $200. When I dropped them off the staff made sure I knew what everything cost and did not make me feel at all bad for not choosing additional things. I really love these guys!
This vet clinic definitely needs some improvements! After an 1.5hr wait and still not being seen, decided to leave to go elsewhere. The Dr seems caring and proficient enough, but that is IF you can ever see him. They need to run their office more seamlessly. My other cat passed away 2 weeks after the vet saw him -- obviously there was an underlying condition. When I called to tell them he was having respiratory distress (emergency) they said they couldn't fit him in. A vet needs to be able to handle emergency situations, get their clients in/out in a timely manner, and be able to take patients sooner than 10 days later.
Friendly staff and very affordable prices. We moved to them from Oak Ridge Animal Clinic when they wanted over $400 to put our cat under and then take blood samples. Pine Forest did it for much cheaper and did not need to use anesthesia. The cat had to be put to sleep eventually for old age and kidney failure and Pine Forest sent a condolences card with staff signatures, which was very kind of them. We will be coming here a long time and trust them with our pets.
I WOULD SAY THIS IS THE WORST VET I HAVE EVER TAKIN ANY OF MY ANIMALS TO, THEY PUT MY DOG ON TRIFEXIS WHICH BY THE WAY HE HAS HEART WORMS, I TALKED TO MANY DIFFERENT VETS AS WELL AS THE SPCA & THEY ALL SAID THAT THIS COULD KILL MY DOG... I WILL NEVER B GOING BACK TO THIS VET AGAIN & THEY BETTER HOPE MY DOG DOES NOT DIE CUS THEY WILL B SUED.... ON TOP OF THAT WHEN U ASK FOR OTHER OPTIONS THEY TELL U THATS THE ONLY OPTIONS & ITS NOT.... GO TO A DIFFERENT VET...
