Our dog Stu became very sick, we ended up coming here over are regular vet because they where the only ones who could get us in on such short notice. I am very glad we did, Dr. Cowser was very nice and helpful to my fiancee, as was the rest of the staff, They did not take advantage of her concern for the health of our pet and try to over charge us. The next day we brought him back to get blood work done because he was not getting better. once I got home he was only getting worse the blood work had not come back from the lab yet. I took him to Flower mound emergency pet clinic, this place was recommended to us by Dr. Cowser. They took him in and were great Dr. Petre was very compassionate and made sure to get all the information she could. They were able to get Dr. Cowser's info and call him because he volunteers there sometimes. He answered the phone off hours and let them know the results of the blood work as soon as he got them in. This was all after hours for him, and he still gladly helped us. Stu was still very sick in the morning and Vca boarded him during the day to watch him and make sure he was improving all at no cost. Dr. Cowser also contacted a specialist and got Her opinion on everything. This just farther shows the kind of Caring and compassion, along with the willingness to go the extra mile, Dr. Cowser and his staff has for pets and their owners. Stu is doing a lot better now and I will be bringing all three of our dogs there from now on. Thank you all so much. tl;dr Vca helped us get our dog back healthy by going above and beyond

They were extremely nice and helpful! I have a small Chihuahua with heart murmur and he was crypt orchid that needed to be neutered. They offered me a great price and took exceptional care of my little son. I will for sure be using them in the future with any vet visits I may need. I highly recommend them as I am very picky about who I take my little ones too!!!

I have no complaints about the maintenance care my two cats and a large dog received here, only the pricing structure. My bill was over $800 for all three and there was no suggestion in advance that it could run so high! My husband about killed me. Your animals will get good care here, but make sure you ask about prices before you go in!!

Nice staff and doctor, but a complete rip-off. This Vet is way over priced and seems to be in it for the money. My old Vet quoted the same emergency work on my dog for less than half of what VCA Sandy Lake Animal Hospital charged me. I trusted I was getting the best care at the best price. I was wrong and I will never go back to this Vet. Not to mention they did no stitch up my dogs wound when they released him to me because they wanted more money. They wanted over 230$ more for 2 stitches after charging 800$ for Fluids, 3 x-rays, pain meds and some bandages. I called two other local vet clinics today and gave the the rundown on what was done for my dog and a price quote. Both of there quotes were over 50% cheaper than VCA sandy lake. They would have also stitched up my dog at no cost while they were cleaning the wound.
