I work in the healthcare field, human division, so I understand how difficult it is to balance customer service and quality patient care. The doctors and staff at CityVet Uptown have done a great job in striving toward providing their clients with the total package. I've only been in for routine annual care, and one bout of upset-tummy puppy, but I'm always able to schedule an appointment at a convenient time, and the staff is friendly and helpful - even over the phone. My Rhodesian Ridgeback, Sabrah, loves that they know her name (and how to pronounce it), and thinks Dr. Matt Murphy is the cat's pajamas. Dr. Murphy and Dr. Shawna Chastain compliment each other well, combining their individual skills and knowledge to give their furry patients the best care possible. Weird skin rash or bizarre bacterial infection? Dr. Murphy. Complicated surgery case or exotic animal? Dr. Chastain. They're amazing. Sabrah thinks Dr. Redding is pretty great, as well. Prices are within the normal range for vet care, and worth every penny considering the convenient uptown location and the excellent doctors on staff. More importantly, Sabrah agrees.

They legitimately seem to love our dog, but they keep treating his skin allergies the same way every time they flare-up, and the treatments never provide any longterm relief. I wish they would dig deeper into his situation to at least try to discover new approaches to his treatment, because we're tired of spending money on the same meds, over and over again, that deliver the same poor results.

The Vets are not bad - but the Desk Staff is the worst! You would think after time they would learn how to do their job - they have not!!! If you value your time - find another Vet!!!
