Dr. French was very confident in what needed to be done. She spelled everything out that they were going to do for my injured puppy. She told me she would call in the middle of the night if the Penelope's condition changed or she needed to do something extra. She gave us hope but spelled out how serious the situation was. The staff was very comforting and caring with us and my little one. Once they had her settled in her cage they brought us back to say goodbye for the night. I was impressed that the staff is allowed to bring their own pets to work since the clinic is only open at night. They presented a invoice explaining what they had to do and what they may have to do. As mentioned in other post they request payment up front for what they know they have to do. When we picked Penelope up this morning they had already contacted and sent her records to our regular vet and notified them we were on our way. They also refunded over $200 to us because they did not have to do everything they charged us for. Very impressed with the entire experience and yes Penelope survived!
I brought my dog in for treatment for complications with a recent diabetes diagnosis on July 26, 2013 at approximately 6:45 p.m. He was not stable when we arrived and required immediate fluids. Unfortunately, the clinic was understaffed and Dr. Welch, the only veterinarian on duty, recently sustained an injury in a car accident, so my dog had to wait in excess of an hour before the he was able to receive the fluids he needed. I asked repeatedly to stay with him, but I was told that I had to wait. When I was finally permitted to see him, he was panting heavily. I asked if he could have water, and again, I was told to I had to wait. He did not receive any treatment until the vet's assistant/front desk personnel had time to "go over" my quote for $3,000. I quickly signed and asked to visit my dog to tell him goodnight. Again, I was told to wait. After an hour and a half, the assistant/front desk personnel returned to the waiting area and told me that I would not be able to tell my dog goodnight because the vet was in the middle of a procedure. I was told to come back. I asked when I would be able to see him, and I was told to call and someone would let me know if it was a good time to visit. At 9:05 p.m. I received a call from the clinic directing me to return because my dog was not doing well. When I arrived, the assistant/front desk personnel told me that I was not allowed to take my dog home. She further said that his death was "not imminent," but that he was not responding to treatment, so we should consider euthanasia. I asked to see my dog, and AGAIN, I was told to wait because the vet was in the middle of a procedure. Ten minutes later, I was invited back because my dog's breathing was slowing. By the time I was allowed back to be with my dog, his tongue was hanging out of his mouth and he was taking his last breath. He died alone, despite the fact that I was in the building begging to see him. This experience made a painful loss infinitely more difficult. If you value your pet, then I would recommend going elsewhere. The memory of my beloved dog's final day will be scarred in my memory forever.
Very poor service, very expensive and no help. Brought my dog for vomiting, no eating. They charged me 90$ to just start, did not diagnose for anything, just gave him a shot to stop nausia and after 2 hours sent us home saying "take him to regular clinic if he no feel better next day".. So next day I had to take him to a regular clinic & spend more money. Never go back.

My dog broke his leg on a Sunday night at 6:30 while we were visiting Dallas -- we had evacuated for Hurricane Ike. I was dreading having to spend hours at the emergency vet clinic and have heard nightmares about the care that dogs receive there. The concierge at my hotel called around a found E-clinic for us, and I'm so glad he did. They were very friendly, took time to explain everything to me and even took time to call a surgeon friend -- saving me a lot of money and time having to visit a specialist the next day. The prices were also reasonable considering that it's an after-hours vet. Dallas is lucky to have this clinic for pet emergencies!
