I just moved to Dallas and was needing to take my ailing kitty to a vet. After several hours of reading reviews and comments on various veterinarians, I ended up choosing East Dallas Vet Clinic. What a find! Their receptionist Taylor was so friendly and informative over the phone, and just as sweet in person! Dr. Ken Cantrell looked at my Frankie and took the time to figure out what was wrong with him. He was so gentle and never rushed, asking questions and then explaining what he found. I was so impressed. Their prices are more than fair and I am definitely using them from this point on. I would give them more stars if I could and I recommend them highly.

There are a couple good vet clinics near my location (White Rock Lake / Dallas Arboretum area) but, in 2003, after trying 'em all, we settled without hesitation on East Dallas Vet Clinic and have been happy ever since. In that first year, we adopted a pup from the pound that turned out to have distemper. Several other vets told us that the pup would certainly die, but Dr Cantrell, without making any promises, said that there might be a chance for our pup and provided a detailed regimen of care that our oldest daughter (herself now an M.D.) followed through religiously. Ten years later that pup is alive and healthy, living with our daughter, but visiting with us this week and sitting across the living room from me now. Thanks to Dr Cantrell. Dr Cantrell has done amazing things for us with one of our other dogs, Abby, who is sixteen years old and has Cushing's Disease — but is still taking three mile walks with us (slow and steady). But all the vets we've seen at the clinic have been good. After Dr Cantrell, I know Dr Ellsworth best and love her: she's terrific with our dogs and cats, knowledgeable, everything you could want in a vet. We board our pets there too now when we go on vacation. Since their expansion and renovation some years ago, the boarding facilities are spacious, clean and excellent. The front-office staff are friendly as can be. All in all, it's a great clinic.

I have taken my chihuahua to East Dallas Veterinary Clinic several times for boarding. The staff is always very sweet and compassionate with my dog. I hate leaving him and would not trust him with other vets/kennels. They keep them in separate, fairly large kennels which I like. My dog is very small and I wouldn't want him in one big space with much bigger dogs all day (like many other kennels do). You can bring your dog's personal food, bed, toys, treats, etc...which I love. Makes them feel more at home/comfortable, I'm sure. The staff has always been very kind and helpful on the phone and in person. I highly recommend this clinic!

I use the groomer at East Dallas Veterinary Clinic. Miss Evelyne is so nice and she does a wonderful job on my 2 shitzhus. Would highley recommend.
